Firstly, Mueller wasn’t involved in the search or applying for the warrant, the U.S. Attorney for the S.D.N.Y. was. Mueller just passed on evidence he had come across in the course of his investigation, which is normal.If this is true, Mueller should be disbarred without further ado. There is no way he had search warrants to get privileged information.
While it is out of the ordinary to search an attorney’s office it happens. There are procedures in place to prevent privileged information being divulged:

Pretty plainly, the Dem left is resolved, once it gains power, never to lose it again, as it would not in a million years countenance such tactics as Muellers’ against them. But perhaps they would be right in thinking once they get power again, they will never let any other party gain power.
I think if I were a Repub officeholder, I would be getting as far away from the upcoming firing line as possible. Nobody is safe in this NKVD state we’re now in.

Anybody paying attention understands that, if you put Trump’s statements together with Cohen’s, there is the potential for a criminal investigation.
Either Trump is lying and he knew of the payment, and he’s part of an illegal campaign contribution that wasn’t reported, or Cohen is telling truth and he paid an illegal campaign contribution and the Trump campaign didn’t report it, or some other combination of lies that open both or one of them up to criminal liability.
It turns out that continuing to do business the way they have for decades have gotten the Trumps in trouble because of additional scrutiny, reporting requirements, a generally amoral way of operating and the inability to bully people into being quiet.

Using this logic, any money spent on anything at all, directly or indirectly, could be viewed at “attempts to affect the election”. I assume, though, that’s why Mueller engineered this raid. Looking for a way to make it criminal. NKVD stuff typical of Mueller.
There’s stuff about this we don’t know. For example, if Daniels was paid in campaign money or if the purpose was to aid the campaign, she’s blowing it by asserting her claim. If it was a contract to do something illegal, it’s void. It doesn’t make sense for her to do it if that’s the case. There’s something else to it.

This is just a mess. For one thing it’s not her job to make sure campaign finance rules are being followed by the campaign as she was not part of the campaign.
