Imagine if the FBI had spent as much time and effort scrutinizing Nikolas Cruz and Omar Mateen as they have on a 10 year old, consensual, one night stand between two private citizens.

  1. Special Council discovered a “Crime” that more than likely may have been committed.
  2. It was outside the scope of his jurisdiction.
  3. He was still obligated by law to report said “Crime”
  4. Mueller informed Acting Attorney General Rosenstein about discovered “Crime”
  5. Rosenstein determined it should be handled by the LOCAL FBI.
  6. All relative information was transferred to he LOCAL FBI.
  7. LOCAL FBI went before Judge with the Evidence.
  8. Judge agreed that with the Evidence.
  9. Judge issued requested warrants.
  10. This is not the first time an Attorney has been raided by Law Enforcement.

At worst, it’s a minor campaign law violation. We’re not talking the St Valentine’s Day Massacre here.

And since Cohen acted on Trump’s behalf without Trump’s Knowledge? That could be a reason for his future disbarment.

This could have nothing to do with Trump. Cohen does have other clients.
 
The article specifically references interest in the payment to Stormy Daniels, which at worst, is a minor campaign finance violation. They better have a lot more than that or this will blow up in the FBI’s face.
 
You really think, they would waste all the time and resources on a “Minor Campaign Finance Violation”?
 
There’s not much that would surprise me any more, but if they do have more, it better be a lot more, and they better get it out fast. Otherwise this just looks like more politicization of the FBI.

Call it tinfoil hat if you want, but if you had ever watched how federal prosecution works, you wouldn’t be so flippant about it.

Obviously the left believes it will never again lose power when it regains it. And if one had to bet, one would bet that’s probably what will happen, because nobody will dare oppose them again after this purge. Lots of Repubs are already running for the door. It’s one thing to lose an election. It’s another to be criminalized over technical violations or trifles just because you’re on the other side politically.

As one commentator said on TV this morning, if Cohen so much as fudged the purpose of his home equity loan even slightly, he could get 30 years, even if it didn’t matter at all to the bank what he was going to do with the money.

I have said again and again, people ought to read the federal criminal statutes. They’re so vague there isn’t a person in this country who hasn’t violated at least one/year. And if the entire power and resources of the federal government are resolved to criminalize you, you’re done unless you have immense resources.

But since the left believes it will never lose power again once it regains it, Dems don’t see the potential hazard in what they’re doing. Nor do they seem to realize that sometimes purges are internal.

The article says: “The payments to Ms. Clifford are only one of many topics being investigated, according to a person briefed on the search.” So sallybutler was right.

In a CNN interview, Schwartz talked about Cohen’s nondisclosure agreement that he made to keep Stormy Daniels from talking about an alleged affair between her and Donald Trump in exchange for $130,000. Schwartz insisted that Trump had nothing to do with the agreement, and that Cohen negotiated it without telling Trump about it.

“The president was not aware of the agreement,” Schwartz said. “At least, Michael Cohen never told him about the agreement.”

Schwartz also said that Trump was not aware of the payment made under the agreement.”

I guess we’ll find out when they start releasing indictments, and they better start doing that quickly.

This could also mean they have nothing on Trump, so they needed another source of information. What better a place than his lawyer’s files?

I said Trump (and all of us) should be Christ like…never in my wildest dreams would I conclude that Trump’s hardships are to atone for our indiscretions. Surely, that’s not what you are saying are you?

When it is said we should be Christ like, it does not mean we become Christ.

I think it is actually three federal felonies a day the average person commits. The reason for having all these laws is just what they are doing with Trump. When someone is a problem to the power of the deep state they use their ridiculous laws to stop them. Most of us are compliant tax payers who do exactly as we are told so we don’t get to see the truth.
