Of course
What does it have to do with two separate paradigms? If the Pope for example stated with Bab the jury is out, I would agree that’s the truth and we would all be agreement that’s Gods truth? Yes or no?
this totally depends on if the Pope’s decisions and words are Truth or not. There are 5 billion people on earth who would so “no” they are not…
Which then puts the fate of your soul squarely on your own hands. The Pope has been known to even be unable to salvage His own souls’ fate in the past, so why would you allow him to be the decision maker for your souls fate?
And you mention this as to suggest what? How I should view Bab? :But he wrote the Pope who I follow.
I write this because Peter, Paul, John etc etc did not consult the Jewish Rabbinic order in order to make a decision for them on whether they should follow Jesus or not.
The Bab did not write to the Pope, Baha’u’llah did.
I think you are getting confused, the Bab and Baha’u’llah are two separate Individuals.
The Pope was written to so that the entirety of Catholicism can be notified “through” him that Jesus had Returned. He ignored it…to quote Fulton Sheen “The truth is the truth even if nobody believes it, and a lie is still a lie, even if everybody believes it.”
So what is the Truth, and how do you know it through proper investigation?
Your have to elaborate clearly on the “IN HIMSELF” part, sounds like that tough language area. Its a red flag to me as its foreign to my Christian ears.
“IN HIMSELF” here means without the need to go check through other avenues. You are waiting for the Pope to give you verification about the Divinity of the Bab. this is like Peter going to the local Rabbis to check on the Divinity of Jesus.
If Peter wouldn’t do that, and John wouldn’t do that, then why would you?
I’m stretched out attempting to. I think finally I’m really starting to get it with Paul and Peter. I’m feeling it more now that I use to. Sacraments of their Church is a “must”. Its a tough one wrapping the mind around the RP?
Not sure what RP stands for here?
I speed read through it. That said I think you guys are polite and somewhat balanced.
I guess thats a complement
But no I believe nothing about Bab. Not feeling it, it could be me. I’m reading a story not feeling the movement of the Wind, the Holy Spirit rushing over me. That’s why I recommend the Sacraments of the Church. Jaw dropping miracle. That’s why when new 200 yo revelations appear I check with the Pope.
Again, did St. Ignatius of Antioch check with Jewish authorities before he converted to Christianity? Did St. Teresa Benedicta ask the Rabbis about Jesus before becoming a Catholic?
You say you did not feel the Holy Spirit rushing over you when reading about the life of the Bab. That is fine and well and if you have done yourself justice by giving it your best shot to test the Spirit of the Bab and Baha’u’llah then you have done your duty before God
The same who gave him the Keys to the Kingdom and which He built His Church upon.
I’m glad you agree here. But what we don’t agree on, at least I, is that the Bab is anything divine whatsoever. Like I said, you guys are cool, but I don’t see anything divine. I could be Christian brainwashed but I believe God is Jesus Christ. The Living God, no other, no more to come, who came back for the lost sheep. And that I will live eternally divinized with Him, Jesus Christ in His Kingdom. Shocking as it may be He instituted a Church, thus the Pope.
This is very honest and worthy of attention Gary.
If you have personally tested the Spirit of the Bab and Baha’u’llah, as I have said already, you have fulfilled your duty towards God and carried out the admonitions of 1 John.
I commend you dear friend
I notice its mentioned here and there, but no I don’t see that either. “Return of John the Baptist (without ever having met Him)”
What is it you are looking for Gary?
Was John the Baptist the return of the Prophet Elijah? Jesus declared it, then others recognized its truth. The question you could ask is what are the spiritual qualities necessary to be shown forth in order that a “spiritual return” can be established?
Come-on that’s a bit of a stretch? That’s up there with ancient aliens now. How, show me how you see that. Lets go through it word for word.
I geneuinely see that Gary. Maybe you are blinded by Christian thinking. Maybe I am blinded by Baha’i thinking.
But all I know is that I have done a very thorough and extensive research into Biblical Christianity AND the Baha’i Faith. Can you claim to have done the same?
What would you like to go through “word for word”?
I’m glad you feel this way, but we have to test that spirit and maybe think about it and be silent as the Pope is silent?
Christ is risen. Jesus is God. Bab is under review by the Pope and Christs Bishops.
Is testing something a silent act. How long does it take to test something. The Revelations of the Bab and Baha’u’llah have been around for over 150 years. It cant take that long for testing to take place. I have a feeling that there is no testing going on at all, but I hope I am wrong…
