You are absolutely right! We need A LOT of catechesis in MA and not just for the men. Most of the people who are volunteering in the parish (CCD) are women. I hear some of the things they teach these kids and it is scary  ! More conferences with authentic Catholic teaching is vital.
The funny thing is that yesterday, when I went to teach my CCD class, the DRE and I were talking about this same subject. She was talking about how we need a Women’s Conference, especially in light of this being the 2nd Men’s Conference in Boston. I called her as soon as I saw this and she was thrilled.
Hopefully, this is the start of something big!

Great!😃 The DRE in my parish thinks that Hillary Clinton is the best thing since sliced bread… Do I need to say more???😦

I know the feeling, our former Pastoral Assoc once told me and a small group of women parishoners that we had to work had to get those conservatives out of our Church and start working hard for Women’s Ordination   (luckily for us you’ll notice the “former”)

They’re all around us! I’m one of the only women in my parish who doesn’t want to see her become president! Some of the so-called Catholic women here in MA need a good “shaking”…IMO…

Maybe your Catholic Senators can attend? 👍
Now, one can dream can’t they? I don’t think they attend anything veryi faithful to the Catholic church.

I wonder if any of the women that need to hear him would think of attending? I tend to think that the people that follow Fr, Corapi are already in the faithful column.

Sorry about that Cathgal, I post speratically. He said that Bishops don’t need to excommunicate Catholic politicians like Sen Kerry and Sen Kennedy when they speak out for abortion, they excommunicate themselves from the Chruch when they do such things. I was encouraged by the audiences reaction which was resounding applause.

Well…we can always live in hope!:yup: One only needs to hear him once and can be converted…see the light!😃

I have mixed feelings about his coming to Boston.

I will be attending the CMC and enthusiastically await hearing Fr Corapi and Scott Hahn on the same day. I almost can’t believe it.

However, I feel very alone. Having heard them both many many times before (on TV) I already know how dynamic and thought provokiing and wonderful their talks are. I desire others that I know to experieince it. However I know anybody I may bring this up to will politely decline and I will sit there alone (I mean with respect to individuals I would love to have be there with me).

One thing I have learned since coming back to faith; it can be lonely.

I understand what you mean, I have been trying to get my husband to go. However, no one in our lives or parish are interested and he doesn’t want to go alone. I even talked with the head of our local KofC and there are not interested in getting a group of men together to go. It really is sad!
We have some very faithful Catholic friends, but they all live in PA and OH.

Darn!!! I’d love to see him too.
