Martin published his last book (Windswept House) in an attempt to expose the corruption in the Church with regard to the Message of Fatima and other issues.

I’ve already posted some of the proof that the letter was a forgery in that it contained provable mistatements of fact that Sr. Lucia would not have made.

Unike you, I trust BOTH the Blue Army and the Vatican on getting things of this nature ‘right.’ You really got sucked into false propaganda on this, which is unfortunate. Your own obstinance will lead you away from the Truth. Unfortunately, it has for many.
 
Maybe there is a difference between a forum to discuss whether or not we should pray for the Holy Father to consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and a forum to pray that he will do so – as Our Lady requested.

What’s the best argument for not believing the consecration was properly carried out ? The simple fact that we have not witnessed the conversion of Russia. Everything else the Blessed Mother promised in regards to Fatima, came true, the conversion of Russia has not.

**It depends on your interpretation of ‘conversion’. I mean, how quickly did you want Russia converted? In a wink of an eye? And Our Lady was very specific in letting us know that such a conversion was dependent on OUR fulfilling all - ALL - of the requests at Fatima, such as:
  1. “I am the Angel of Peace. Pray with me.”
  2. “Above all, accept and bear with submission the suffering which the Lord sends you.”
  3. “Do not offend the Lord our God anymore, because He is already so much
    offended…people must amend their lives and ask forgiveness for their sins.”
  4. “Pray the Rosary every day in honor of Our Lady of the Rosary, in order to
    obtain peace for the world, and the end of the war, because only she can help you.”
  5. “Sacrifice yourselves for sinners, and say many times, especially whenever you
    make some sacrifice: O Jesus, it is for Your love, for the conversion of sinners,
    and in reparation for the sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary.”

The conversion of Russia specifically is not tied to any of those practices you mention - only the consecration by the Pope and all the Bishops in union with him. Concerning your timeline question I’ll restate what I said earlier:

**Sr. Lucia said OUR LORD said that the conversion of Russia would take place in such a way that it would be clearly seen as a miracle attributed to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. If 100 years pass and things progress through normal political dissolutions and eventually the nation becomes Catholic this clearly cannot be seen as miraculous. There is obviously something lacking as Russia has gotten worse since the consecration unlike when the Bishops of Portugal consecrated their nation (twice) with startling and miraculous results. **

You are absolutely in error with the last paragraph. Our Lady was VERY SPECIFIC about the Five First Saturdays requests and the recitation of the Rosary daily for the intention of the conversion of Russia. THESE are our responsibility as the laity; the formal consecration of Russia for its conversion was left up to the pope and bishops - that is THEIR responsibility. Our Lady never separated the two - our responsibility and the responsibility of the hierarchy. To say otherwise shows a very grave lack of understanding about the whole Fatima event and its effect on the Church.

Quoting from Sr. Lucia’s memoirs, May 1976 [from messages of 1917] : “Sacrifice yourselves for sinners . . .for love of Jesus, for the conversion of sinners and in reparation for the sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary.”

“If what I say to you is done, many souls will be saved and there will be peace . . .if my requests are heeded, Russia will be converted and there will be peace. If not, she will spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions of the Church . . .”

“If men do not listen to my words Russia will spread her errors . . . promoting further wars and persecutions . . . The good will be martyred; the Holy Father will suffer much and various nations will be annihilated.” - Our Lady, July 13, 1917

Sr. Lucia, the remaining witness of Fatima, writes in her Diary: “The Rosary is not the most important request” . . . the essential request . . . was . . . *‘Will you be willing to accept whatever God will send you and to offer it up for the conversion of sinners and in reparation for the offenses committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary?’ *. . . she emphasized that it is the fulfillment of one’s daily duty, according to one’s state in life . . . which is the primary condition for turning back of the tide of evil which threatens today’s world, and which will also bring us the great favor of the conversion of Russia and an era of peace for mankind."

And, later in her Diary, she writes: and we are responsible . . . Our Lady spoke these soul-shattering words: “Continue to make sacrifices! So many souls are lost because there is no one to pray and make sacrifices for them!”**

Yes, the first five saturdays devotion is necessary and most Catholics that I know have made them - many times. However, the list of Fatima items you presented are not directly tied to the conversion of Russia - most of them are not. 1. “I am the Angel of Peace. Pray with me.” - this is part of the message but not necessary for the conversion of Russia - nor is the wearing of the brown scapular etc. (although highly recommended.) Your list was actually irrelevant to the topic.

Unwittingly you’ve proven the point that Russia has not been converted. When is the last time you’ve heard from the pulpit the necessity of the first five Saturday’s devotion or of Our Lady of Fatima at all? The fact is you’re more than likely not going to hear it from your Priest nor your Bishop yet you’ve stated the fact that people must do their part before Russia is converted. How can they do their part unless they’re told to? How can that happen if nobody cares about the message and think it irrelevant today?

"In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph. The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to me and she will be converted, and a period of peace will be granted to the world."

Is it the end? Is Russia converted? Has a period of Peace been given to the world? Has the Immaculate Heart of Mary triumphed? According to your own admission Russia is not converted and will not be until people do their part. Which also implies that the consecration has not taken place since the consecration is directly tied to “the end”; implying a refusal and struggle to consecrate Russia until things get so bad as to lose hope and the Pope finally obeys. According to the above quote the conversion of Russia is directly tied into the event of the consecration. This also implies that the people will for the most part have done their part only to be followed up by the clergy - in the end.

Unwittingly you’ve proven the point that Russia has not been converted. When is the last time you’ve heard from the pulpit the necessity of the first five Saturday’s devotion or of Our Lady of Fatima at all? The fact is you’re more than likely not going to hear it from your Priest nor your Bishop yet you’ve stated the fact that people must do their part before Russia is converted. How can they do their part unless they’re told to? How can that happen if nobody cares about the message and think it irrelevant today?

Is it the end? Is Russia converted? Has a period of Peace been given to the world? Has the Immaculate Heart of Mary triumphed? According to your own admission Russia is not converted and will not be until people do their part. Which also implies that the consecration has not taken place since the consecration is directly tied to “the end”; implying a refusal and struggle to consecrate Russia until things get so bad as to lose hope and the Pope finally obeys. According to the above quote the conversion of Russia is directly tied into the event of the consecration. This also implies that the people will for the most part have done their part only to be followed up by the clergy - in the end.

Yes, the first five saturdays devotion is necessary and most Catholics that I know have made them - many times. However, the list of Fatima items you presented are not directly tied to the conversion of Russia - most of them are not. 1. “I am the Angel of Peace. Pray with me.” - this is part of the message but not necessary for the conversion of Russia - nor is the wearing of the brown scapular etc. (although highly recommended.) Your list was actually irrelevant to the topic.

A survey back in 1977 revealed that less than 22% of Catholics had even heard of Fatima or the requests that were made by Our Lady. When the pope made the third message known in 2000, less than half of that percentage had even known what the Vatican was talking about. Since the Fatima apparitions have been approved by the Church at the highest levels, it is up to the laity to do their part and spread the message and requests. We shouldn’t be waiting for priests to do it.

In an interview with Fr. Robert Fox, Sister Lucia also stated that there is much misunderstanding of what “conversion of Russia” means. Our Lady didn’t mean that Russia would convert to Catholicism. It meant that millions of people were enslaved by an atheistic system that stopped them from worshipping God in their churches and tried to eradicate the Faith all together. Since the fall of Communism, the Russian people now have the opportunity to attend church and deepen their faith. Remember - three generations of Russians were persecuted for the Faith. And the orthodox church is still a valid church.
