My point is he’s not one actor but two. The current Svengoolie inherited the role from an older actor.

That must have been eerie seeing Rosemary’s Baby when you were pregnant.
I saw a scary movie called Prophecy or The Prophecy when I was like 8 months pregnant. A woman in the audience joked I shouldn’t be watching a scary movie.

It was. I put it on after it started, I think the scene where Rosemary is having dinner with the old couple. I was mesmerized on how the old woman was serving the cake. It was pretty unappetizing, to say the least.

But I didn’t figure out what film it was until later. I might have left the room for a bit, because I don’t remember the infamous dream sequence.

Alfred Hitchcock’s The Unlocked Window is supposed to be on in about an hour.
I am going to see if I can stay up and watch it.

Rosemary’s Baby, the Alien series, Get Carter (original one), Don’t Look Now, The Shining, Apocalypse Now Redux, Hammer House of Horror films. Blue Velvet, Eraser Head

I guess you stayed up to see it.

You know what “Alfred Hitchcock” episode scared me so much as a child? There was an episode of the Flintstones that had a spoof of Rear Window and a cartoon version of Alfred Hitchcock.

Does anyone remember that one?

No i have never heard of or seen a Flintstones episode spoofing Rear Window with Alfred Hitchcock. I bet it was funny.
Rear Window is one of my favourite Hitchcock movies.

I guess it was funny, but as a little girl it scared me incredibly. I didn’t see the humor.

i wish it was on you tube. i would love to see it. Who was the murderer in the cartoon and was it a neighbor of Fred’s?

Is this the episode where Barney Rubble thinks the guy’s name is “Archie Oogely” (Archeology)?

The Shining. My little sister was married at The Stanley Hotel where King was inspired to write it. I’ve also stayed at Timberline Lodge where all the outdoor scenes were filmed.

It was “Alvin Brickrock” The new neighbor. There wasn’t an actual murder if I remember, but Fred and Barney jumping to conclusions.

I think so! It’s been so long, maybe 40 years since I saw it.

Is that the episode where that man says, “It’s Agatha’s body” in a sonorous voice (ala Alfred Hitchcock).

I LOVE the Flintstones! I love the animals who are the garbage disposal, the time clock, and the airplane (Pterodactyl Airlines!).

I’m pretty sure that’s the one.

I watched the Flintstones reruns after school in the 1970’s. I think one of the cable stations played them when my children were smaller. This specific episode I haven’t seen in decades. I just remember it specifically frightening me.

As for the animals, I liked the pterodactyls used as airplanes, and the tortoises used as checkerboards.

I forgot to mention John Carpenter’s The Thing (1982). Great albeit disturbing movie.
