So you are saying that separating terrified children from the arms of their caretaker is a rational, Christian response? There are no more humane alternatives?

To take Christian sensitivity and blame it on Democrats just so people can justify their insensitivity is sick.
As more and more people understand the issues, Democrats are beginning to lose the argument. It is already happening, and midterm elections are a long way away.

All you have to do is read the posts on CAF. The more you post and attack, the more you lose the argument. The consensus is shifting.

When I express my opinion in public, people no longer look at me like I have two heads.

If I was your side, I would just keep my mouth shut. The more people know, the more they disagree with you.

It won’t be long before all you have are low information voters who never bother to vote.

I am not stating whether you are wrong or right. You are not God
You feeling conviction of the Holy Spirit maybe??

I’m not perfect, but when I see injustice, I call it out.

As opposed to leaving the child in the arms of child traffickers or a drug dealer? Or do you have a plan to weed them out?

This is a Christian moral issue, and not directly a political issue.

You cross a border illegally, you take your chances.

You also need to keep in mind that what you see in video isn’t necessarily what actually occurred. That’s been proven time and time again.

What’s your solution to this? You’re quick to criticize but have nothing to offer other than condemnation. What would you do?

Pretty sure I know the answer, and I’m pretty sure there are circumstances and considerations in all this you’re not privy to.

Politics is always at the heart of it or are you just posting with no expectation of creating any change in policy?

Are you stereotyping all asylum seekers to be evil drug users?

Again, perhaps special housing for the families or expediting their hearings. There are probably many other more humane ways of dealing with the problem.

How hard is it, especially with high-tech intelligence, to distinguish drug dealers from innocent asylum seekers?

We can’t expedite hearings. We don’t have room on dockets or the manpower for that. it’s also unfair to the others waiting for their own hearings. We only have a certain number of judges.

Everyone’s immigration answer is “EXPEDITE!” but they have no idea how difficult that is to do because of constraints on an already overtaxed system. And then they gripe at a tax increase to help cover some of it. Federal judges aren’t cheap. Neither are courtrooms.

Where would you propose (a) to put this housing, and (b) how to pay for it? Not to mention how would you staff it, how would you guard it, and where will the money and manpower come from to do this?

How quickly do you believe that can be arranged? How would you pay for transport of all of these people to that location? And would you tell the rest of the world to ante up and remember all the times we’ve bailed them out - because everyone else has, as they tend to do, stepped back with jazz hands.

There’s a lot that has to be considered, and it cannot happen in a matter of days or for free.

Pretty hard when you come in with no identifying documents on your person. Ever tried crossing legally into the US with no ID? You can do it - because Federal law says as a citizen you can’t be denied entry for any reason - but it can take hours for your identity to be verified. Even my LPR husband can reenter the US if his wallet and passport were stolen, but it takes hours.

Even with technology.

Now consider an undocumented person with no papers and nothing tying them to the US.

Well regardless of those that supported Trumps Nazi camps, today we celebrate this court ruling forcing Trump to reunite familes.

Godless people always do godless actions, and thankfully we have soldiers for Christ like our Catholic Bishops and Cardinals who take action!

What action have they taken?

What have they done to assist, other than say “this is wrong”?

I’m sorry, but this is no place for nuance or factual information. You’re supposed to question whether your opponent really believes in Christ for starter’s.

Mea culpa. I missed that memo. Course correction placed.😉

My US Catholic Bishop from Orange County, California went to the border with lawyers to help and try to comfort the immigrants in cages. He’s my hero!!!

As Moses told the evil Egyptian pharoah, “Let my people go” so I say to Trump, "Let my people go!
