Peace of God be with you.

Can anyone please provide me The Complete List of Holy Days of Obligation in the Philippines? Could you also include the Prescribed Days of Abstinence and Fasting?

Thank you and God love you.

hello bros. and sis.!
Code:
i started to memorize a couple of verses, especially about the divinity of Christ.
in our hometown of gingoog city, misamis oriental, there is also a group of apologists, the Catholic Faith Lay Apostolic Movement of the Philippines(CFLAMP) which is also known in Butuan City. my parents have once joined in one of their seminar about the catholic doctrines.
though some are active in defending the church here, it is still not enough. we need more Catholics to defend our faith... :)
yours in Christ,
Adan

Hi Prey,

In the Philippines, the Holy Days of Obligation on which we are required to attend Mass are:

All Sundays (of course)
Immaculate Conception (Dec. 8)
Nativity of the Lord (Dec. 25)
Mary, Mother of God (Jan 1, Octave of Christmas)

The requirement to attend Mass on all other universal Holy Days of Obligation have been dispensed with by the CBCP.

The prescribed days of fasting and abstinence from meat are Ash Wednesday and Good Friday. The CBCP has dispensed with the abstinence requirement for Fridays, even in Lent. All Fridays of the year are days of penance, during which abstinence may be performed, or some other act of piety or charity (even during Lent).

(I don’t agree with the dispensation for Lent, although I respect it. I absolutely abstain from meat during Fridays of Lent).

These relaxed disciplines are effective Only in the Philippines ™.

Spain gives us the faith, please come back us because the prcatical apostasy in my country is great

I think Filipinos are becoming helpless. There is a heated debate at the thread below about Catholic Church and most of those who join are Protestants, badly informed Catholics and atheists. They got good command in english which I dont have much so they can easily persuade anyone to believe, coz they got the language.

Thanks if anyone is concern about this. Catholic please come to the rescue.

Perls before swine.

Bro you will not be able to convince anyone to believe that is not searching.

But if you want to have fun, ask them about Gawad Kalinga (GK777) or Kalinga Luzon. Both fall are Nation Building ministries run by the CFC which is a Catholic Ministry and supported by the Filipino Government.

Hello Losav,

Why dont you politely invite them here in this forum.Their misconceptions about the faith of RCC will be cleared here. Please tell them also that in the year 2004 alone, there were 150,000 converts to the RCC here in the USA,including former anti-Catholic men and women.Don’t forget to pray for them too.

God Bless,
Silvano

Losav, I only read pages 26-28, and I knew that pollywag is not catholic. He pretended to be one, but you can tell by his answers that he was once an unimformed catholic who know loves to bash the church. Unless he prays for the truth will he find it.
