The defense is carrying the entire team on their shoulders, and at week 15 they are understandably worn down. Duck Hodges isnāt an NFL caliber QB. And I love James Conner, and I appreciate everything heās been through to comeback and even play in the NFL, but heās too injury prone. LeāVeon walked into the stadium wearing black and gold yesterday. If heās sending a message, the Steelers should listen to it.
JuJu was blaming himself for the loss. I donāt. They never should have been in a ādo or dieā 4th down position against the Jets. This was a team loss.

The Eagles can win the NFC East if they beat the Giants at the Meadowlands this weekend, or if the Cowboys somehow lose to the Redskins, or also if either game ends up in a tieā¦

So, if the Eagles do find a way to get it done and win the division (which is the expectation), they will play host for the Wild Card Round in Philly against the loser of the 49ers-Seahawks gameā¦

The Niners, Packers and Saints are all 12-3 but GB and NO were both defeated by SF earlier in the season. As a result, of the three the 49ers are the only team with their destiny entirely in their own hands: SF clinches NFC West divisional title, conference first seed, first round bye and home field advantage if they beat the Seahawksāregardless of what happens in any other game. Having this as the last game of the regular season preserves the suspense all the way down to the wire.
That said, the Niners have the toughest opponent among the three contenders, one that beat them in their own stadium, so victory is far from assured.

The perfect football weekend for me in chronological order:
Friday - Temple beats North Carolina in the Military Bowl
Saturday - Penn State beats Memphis in the Cotton Bowl. Lsu and Clemson win their playoff semi final games.
Sunday - The Eagles beat the Giants, or they lose and The Redskins beat The Cowboys, or either or both games end in tie. With any of these scenarios the Eagles make the playoffs.

My only hope is that my Broncos beat the Raiders for no other reason than we dislike them so much and our win loss records will be the same. Weāre all very tired of the Broncos ā¦brilliant one minute and shameful the next ā¦season.

Michigan over Alabama (Citrus Bowl)
Wisconsin over Oregon (Rose Bowl)

Iowa had an impressive win last night in the Holiday Bowl against USC!
In the NFL I hope the 49ers win Sunday night mainly because I think the Eagles would have a better chance against the Seahawks in the Wild Card Round if they do win the division. Yeah, they lost to the Seahawks back in week 12, but it was still a close game during a stretch when the team wasnāt playing particularly well. And the following week loss to the Dolphins was probably the lowest point of the season when many fans and sports writers questioned why they bought into the preseason hype of how the Eagles were a talented and Super Bowl contender again when they were really just an average team, etc.
I think Pederson deserves a lot of credit for having kept the wheels from falling off completely. The injuries have been tough, but theyāve been able to work through it and improve. So now weāll see what happens Sundayā¦
