And what is so wrong in using faith to form one’s conscience?Without sounding offensive, I will try to make my statment. If a candidate for any party uses his Faith to inform moral decisions except murder, would I vote for him? I doubt it.
What do you use to form your conscience?
From the time you were born, how did you gain knowledge?
From parents, teachers, friends, media, the world, etc.?
Why should faith be an exception.
Surely you didn’t get it from within yourself other than what was written in your heart by God. We call that the natural law.
But if the natural law within you is screwed, it most likely is distorted by the secular world around you.
So you see, all of our conscience are formed by one source or another. The question is, is the source feeding our conscience right or wrong?
What do you use to help you to discern what is right and wrong?
That’s only if you believe in universal truth.
