Without sounding offensive, I will try to make my statment. If a candidate for any party uses his Faith to inform moral decisions except murder, would I vote for him? I doubt it.
And what is so wrong in using faith to form one’s conscience?

What do you use to form your conscience?
From the time you were born, how did you gain knowledge?
From parents, teachers, friends, media, the world, etc.?
Why should faith be an exception.
Surely you didn’t get it from within yourself other than what was written in your heart by God. We call that the natural law.
But if the natural law within you is screwed, it most likely is distorted by the secular world around you.
So you see, all of our conscience are formed by one source or another. The question is, is the source feeding our conscience right or wrong?
What do you use to help you to discern what is right and wrong?
That’s only if you believe in universal truth.

LastPew;

This statement of yours speaks volumes of the moral equivalency you evidently espouse.

Moral decisions in a vacuum? Which one? Hoover or Oreck?

Either way, it still sucks.

Fr Povone unfortunatley only looks at the abortion issue which is very important but imo not the only important issue that needs be looked at.

There’s many votes Brownback has done that I am not happy with and therefore wont be supporting him. His voting record can be googled. There’s too many instances to list and I dont wish to draw it out. Too bad Republicans and Democrats always choose to vote party line the majority of the time.
IMO, God will not allow us to have peace until we stop waging war on innocent unborn life. We do not deserve peace until we conquer that battle.

While I like Senator Brownback, I am supporting Rep. Duncan Hunter, who also spoke at the pro-life rally in D.C., and is more of a Reagan conservative, imho.
