I’d love to get his CDs but I am stuck here in New Zealand and don’t own a credit card. 😦

However, the link to Relevant Radio means I can hear him (& Fr Corapi & Abp Sheen), as well as listening to homilies on his website.

Thanks! And, thank you to all who kept bumping this thread, so that I could eventually read it. I didn’t know I could listen to him every day.

My favorite CD is Confession. Wow! I had my teens listen to it too…in fact, since I gave away my CD to a non-Catholic I better order another one. We need to hear it again…and again.

I love the story about carrying the calf on his shoulders. Yuck! But, it really drives home the point. For those who haven’t heard it, I won’t say more. Get the CD! 👍

God bless,
Robert
If you have registered at his website (see earlier posts) then you can order mp3s to be added to your account. They only cost $2/mp3…that is only $8 for over 6 hours of information. The talks that you can get (mind you, you get ‘The Truth’ when you register for free) are:

The Mass Explained
Confession
What More Could He Do For You
Knowing God’s Will (New)

I was able to save them and download them to my mp3 player.

Robert, I am glad to see this thread has taken off the way that it has. I feel that the world NEEDS to hear what Fr. Larry has to say. It may be tough to look inside ourselves sometimes and realize that we are not as “good” as we think we are and Fr. Larry helps out in an unbelievable way…atleast he has in my life.

Yeah. “What more…” is pretty powerful. Information presented in a way you never thought about before.

I went last night and had the pleasure of listening to Fr Larry in person. Even though I had heard most of the material before, it was excellent. My wife went along, and I’m hoping she took as much from it as I did. It was also cool becuase the “speech” was a homily (an hour and a half homiliy) in the middle of a Mass. I got to sit through a Mass celebrated by Fr Larry! BTW, he has an amazing voice when it comes to the “chanted” parts of the Eucharistic prayer. I wish ALL priests could have the charisma that Fr Larry possesses, but I know that is not possible because each person was created as an individual, and all have their own “style”…I just like Fr Larry’s “style”.

I wish I could go back tonight, but it’s just not possible. We have a family comittment that has come up, and seeing how family was a large part of the homily last night, I can’t say no.

Rascal,

:extrahappy: I am glad to hear that you were able to go…I know you were wanting to! Fr. Larry is such an inspiration and you are correct, seeing him talk live is a completely different experience…he does use a lot of the same material, some of the same stories, but hearing them live makes them more powerful. I would love (like you) to go to his mass…HE GETS IT!!

I have only heard the first two, so I will have to register and get moving on that!

I agree with the NEED for Fr. Richards. He just has a way of explaining things that really resonates.

What More Could He Do For You is very VERY heartbreaking to hear all that Jesus does just for YOU. Fr. Larry does a great job with this one…be sure to have the tissues ready, I just listened to it at work…tough to hear, but something that you must come to realize about the passion and death of Jesus.

I was listening to him on Relevant Radio yesterday, talking about Repentence… WOW!!!

If we are REALLY and truly sorry for our sin, we won’t do it again. He doesn’t pull his punches, does he?

And in my heart, I know he is right!

Prayer is always about loving God…

and love is about others…

If you don’t love others, you don’t love God.

Rascal,

I wanted to see if you were able to attend any of the other nights and what you thought about them. If you have signed up at his website you can order the VHS version of his mission. I think that they are $10/tape. They are awesome.

I love Father Larry. Moments ago I was emailed by a friend who linked me to a U tube performance by a group called" Go Fish ". In their song were bits of a presentation by a person that sounded strikingly like father Larry 🤷 . Here’s the link youtube.com/watch?v=IAckfn8yiAQ Please tell me what you think. If that is Father Larry, I would be interested if anyone else has heard of the group called " Go Fish "🙂

I have not heard of Go Fish. However, the guy that talked refered to a Mr. Lowenstein and maybe that is who this person is. I am not sure, but it sounds like comedian talking at the beginning. It sounds like Fr. Larry in a way, but I can tell Fr. Larry’s voice (😊 I have listened to him a lot) and I am pretty sure that this is not him.

This is strange that you posted on this thread, I was listening to his talk on Confession today and remembered this thread and was going to go out and find it. God moment!!

You must be right, one of the fellows of this group has a blog where he gives his testamonial. He refers to what sounds a lot like the " Once Saved Always Saved " system of belief. In his link of favorites he sends you to a Kirt Camaron web site. Kirt loves Jesus but I’m afraid he doesn’t think Jesus does. I guess I should have investigated in a little more detail before my original reply:blush:

oops. What I ment to write about Kirt Camaron was that He displays his doubts about wether Catholic’s are saved

That is why we are blessed to have great priests and apologists to teach us the Catholic faith so that when situations like this arise we are aware of them and can stand strong on our faith.

I have learned so much from listening to Fr. Larry. Check out his website and sign up for a free download www.thereasonforourhope.org

I haven’t read the whole thread, but I saw the title with Fr. Larry’s name and I just wanted to tell you guys that you can get a few of his talks on CD for free at www.catholicity.com. Sorry if it’s already been posted. 😃 I have all of the ones they offer (not just Fr. Larry’s) and they’re all excellent!! 👍

Wow, that does sound like Father Larry Richards!! 😃 But I don’t want to say for sure. :o I just don’t know. 🤷 But it DOES sound like him. 🙂

I LOVE FR. LARRY!! He did a mission at my parish (Immaculate Conception of Dardenne in O’Fallon, MO) a couple of years ago, and I wanted to move to Erie and join his church! (even though I know Catholics aren’t supposed to church shop 😉 ). My dh wasn’t Catholic at the time, but he went with me a couple of nights, and I think it played a big part in his decision to go through RCIA the following fall. What’s funny is that I wasn’t even going to go at first, but then he celebrated the Mass I was at that Sunday (the mission was starting that night), and after hearing his homily I had to go! (I went every night). We have another mission coming up next week w/ 2 Redemptorists priests, and although I’m looking forward to it, I’m kinda afraid they’re not going to be as good as Fr. Larry and It’ll be a let down.

When I first saw this thread, I was excepting some people to like him, but there’s usually at least one person who finds people or thngs either “so so” or they downright hate them. But everyone on the thread loves Fr. Larry, it’s amazing! 😃

In Christ,

Ellen
