Yes, I was not making a conservative/liberal distinction. But Fox News does not produce well-informed viewers.
How do you make that judgement, and how does it compare to CNN and MSN viewers?

You certainly can’t make it from comments here, I think few actually watch them.

It’s an objective measure of what facts about current events people know. MSN doesn’t do well, either. But the interesting thing about Fox is that its viewers were 18% more likely to give an incorrect answer than those who watch no news at all.

so do you have a link to this test?

more than likely FOX viewers were giving real answers and not the talking points regurgitated by the MSM so the FOX viewers were proving they hadn’t been brainwashed yet!

They were all asked the same questions. These weren’t opinion questions—they were questions like: Which party holds the most seats in the House of Representatives? There’s actually a right answer.

And this slavish devotion to Fox, coupled with the insulting personal comments you’ve made to me, are validating the very criticisms made about Trump’s supporters. You are making the liberals’ points for them.

you still haven’t posted a link to the test.

and you are making conservative’s points about liberals!

You know, if you look at my posts you’ll see that I never leveled any personal insults at you. You cannot say the same.

The study is from Fairleigh Dickinson University, as I mentioned earlier. Google is your friend. I am putting this thread on ignore.

we don’t have an ignore button, but you can mute the thread.

some of your posts were insulting to those who voted for Trump or Fox viewers.
for over 2 years posters have been calling us deplorables and stupid and backwards because we voted for or now support Trump or because we watch FOX news or because we listen to conservative radio.

it gets very old constantly being made to feel inferior and bullied by those who think they are so much smarter and constanty
looking down their nose.

You just keep repeating headlines from liberal media. doesn’t make them true.

I don’t think there should be any “special” laws for any “special” group.
So if school books include straight families, then they should also have gay ones as well?
Or are the straight families special under the law?

why do you always ask for examples @dvdjs when you have participated here at CAF since President Trump’s election and are well aware of the posts written here by those who are anti-Trump and what they think of people who support the president or who voted for him?

The reason is because your claim is an absolute fabrication. People have not been calling Trump supporters deplorables on these threads. Not even close. In the Church, we have a phrase to describe what you have done and it is called false witness. People have criticized Trump supporters and that is true. Trump supporters have also criticized Trump critics, but there is no evidence whatsover that there has been a theme here of calling Trump supporters deplorable. There is no truth in that whatsoever and I am calling you out on that. It is immoral for you to blatant promote falsehoods.

yes the term has been used and words equal to deplorable.
I did a search on the world news forum since June 1, 2018. The only posters who used the term deplorable in regards to Trump supporters were Trump supporters complaining about being called deplorables. No Trump critic has used this term in relation to Trump supporters.

So you make a claim, a detailed search reveals nothing that supports that claim. And yet we should still believe you?

Kind of off topic, but I’ve seen representation of family’s with same sex parental figures a lot more in the past few years. In the most recent episodes of a cartoon named “Stephen Universe” there was a marriage proposal between two female characters (though one might be argued to be androgynous). If they didn’t encounter it in school books it looks like kids will encounter it elsewhere.

Two reasons:
  1. When your accusations lacks specifics, it not entirely clear who you are accusing. You may be unfairly accusing - or seemingly accusing - many people to whom the charge does not apply, and who might like to protest the false accusation against them.
  2. It helps to clarify the reality of the situation. In the first year of the Trump presidency there were many Trump supporters who repeatedly lashed out about the Trump’s being called “Cheeto” by his opponents here. It turned out that there were far more complainers and complaints than there was name-calling by, as searching revealed, the one poster who had used the epithet multiple ties but had long since vacated the forum.
Clarity and specificity help to avoid false accusations - something that no accuser here presumably wants to do.
