This article by Breitbart says a lot more about Breitbart than it does about liberals. It is a case study in deception. It shows that Breitbart has no interest in the truth, only an interest in making liberals look bad.
In my earlier posting I pointed out the difficulties in the way the results of this survey is presented. It strongly implies that liberals are not proud to be American. But the headline in the Gallup webpage that they mined these stats from says:
Obviously people are more likely to say they are extremely proud of being an American in a time when America is being led in the direction of which they approve. As noted before, that would explain why, in the time of Trump, liberals are less likely that previously to say “extremely proud.” But the implication of the overall Gallup finding, considering liberals and conservatives together, says something about the overall feelings people have about the direction in which this country is being led. Keep in mind that the choices in the survey were: “Extremely proud, very proud, moderately proud, only a little proud, and not at all.” Not surprisingly, most Americans of both political persuasions were in the combined "“Extremely proud, very proud, moderately proud” category. Citing just one survey answer to the exclusion of other similar answers does not serve getting at the whole truth. It just serves Breitbart’s purpose in telling the story they want to tell.

which of course has an entirely different implication. I won’t speculate as to what that implication is for fear of being labelled a “Trump hater.” But it is certainly different from the deceptive story Breitbart wants to tell. This is why you should always ignore the Breitbart headlines and analysis and click through straight to the source. In U.S., Record-Low 47% Extremely Proud to Be Americans
