I think that brings things to an interesting hypothetical. If all legal ballots are counted and -for the sake of argument - the results change, will the Democrats accept it? I would think that any of these recounts or audits are going to be bi-partisan and/or independent.
I’m sure there would be whining galore but yes, the Dems would accept it. I think the Democrats in general have more faith in the process than Republicans seem to have.

The ballot process is done with bipartisan people from the start and so any recount or audit is also done as a bipartisan endeavor.

Even at NewsMax it does not look good for Trump.

What do you think the breakdown would be between Republican and Democrat?
I haven’t the foggiest. I could argue that the Republicans had more motivation since the surveys pointed to a Biden win being likely but I could also see Dems wanting to make sure he won. It will probably be very few ballots and be 50/50. It won’t change the standings.

Bipartisan people who wouldn’t allow Republican poll watchers to see what they were doing.

That was resolved. Initially they were held at 10 feet away. Judge allowed them to be 6 feet away. They can get no closer due Covid-19 guidelines.

Then maybe what has been the norm for decades needs to change. We were lucky in the past when even with errors and fraud, it wasn’t a sufficient amount to affect the outcome. This election is different. Tallies are so close on both sides that even a small amount of irregularity or outright cheating is enough to steal it.

And just because premature calling has been the norm in the past doesn’t mean it was the right thing to do – in the past, or now. Only now are some of us beginning to realize how unfair it is. Influencing voters who haven’t voted yet by calling winners or losers is, essentially, interfering in the election. The practice needs to stop, and frankly, I hope it gets outlawed.

According to one witness who was there, after the judge mandated that watchers from both parties had to be allowed, with six-foot distancing, the counters and the machinery was moved further away so they STILL couldn’t see anything.

The Republican watchers were kept in corrals and given binoculars, almost as a means of taunting them.

Even after the judge tried to rectify it, his order was defied, with no accountability, of course.

Sounds more like a TRUMPed up conspiracy theory.

I am sure there is video of this from someone’s cell phone?

As an ex-Californian, I totally agree with you. However it has been that way for decades. And I highly doubt it is going to change any time soon

From the footage I have seen, the claim is mostly true, but what is left out is that the “corrals” were temporary barriers separating not only them, but separating them from each other a safe distance, and all poll watchers were treated this way. The people that run election on the front lines are just clerks doing their job and did not want people too close for an extended period, endangering their health. They could still see what was going on for all the good it would do.

No, they could not read the ballots over the shoulders of the various clerks. Just believe viruses are too small to be real does not make them less deadly.

Nor should they be able to read a ballot if it contains the voter’s name. Or the envelope it came in has the voter’s name visible.

It is like musical chairs. Who wants to be the last one to sit down once it is clear the music stopped. I am not saying it has, but most believe it has.

I note that President Bush congratulated Biden this weekend. He has always been a class act in my book.

I am not an American in my opinion its Time for the USA to move on - Biden will be a one Term president and Reps will hold the senate - so the next President will be the one who will decide the future hope their a good one who ever they are.

I am not Trump fan but one day I volunteered to pick weeds at a day care and all the kids were behind a fence. I thought, “Hmmm, for their own protection.”

As for Texas, better to let them stay with their parent. That separation was absurd and inhuman.

I agree with what you said about the courts for the reasons you quoted. He really has an uphill climb to prove fraud.
As much as I am not happy he lost, I think you are mainly right. The main reasons I voted for him were policy, not personality, so I think that
his personality (that first debate performance and tweets) and COVID(even though
I think he did a lot of good, I don’t think Hillary or Joe Biden or anyone would have done better
although again I think his personality lost him there, too.)
As has been said. COVID was Joe Biden’s running mate.
I think we should be happy that we took so many seats in the house and we need to put our energy into winning the senate runoff in January and maybe making absolute sure there is no fraud for that election ahead of time.
And yes, as you stated, there are some excellent candidates that could run in 2024. Mike Pence himself is one so I think it would be better if this issue gets resolved quickly. I still like Ted Cruz, my first choice for 2016. And some good female ones, too.
We need to look forward to 2022, and 2024.
Joe Biden will certainly be a step backward for Right to Life, but if we have the Congress it will be divided government and hopefully he will be restrained.
