Being from Oklahoma, my vote doesn’t really matter because Oklahoma will go for the Republican candidate. But I think until the time comes to choose between Republican candidate vs. Obama, I’m just going to support Ron Paul.

I believe you are just looking at the “surface” as to who is tearing down Bachman, Perry & Cain. If you are referring to the “extreme left” (the rape, socialism comment), yep, you have a point. OWS started with “reasonable” people, mostly independents…when the “fringe freaks” came out of the woodwork, OWS became and is now a big joke. As an independent/moderate, the sickening display of the extreme left is just as sickening as the display of the extreme right, aka Tea Parties and what is left of the Christian Right (who is neither by the way).

Bachmann, never had a chance. I would bet dollars to donuts in a year or 5 from now, her husband will be wrapped up in some kind of homosexual scandal. Because thinking people know, the homosexuality is not a disease from which someone can be cured. SSA is what it is.
Perry, gee where do I begin…well, he just goofed up on his own accord and so it ends for him. :blackeye: Cain, if the allegations against him are true, he too, has goofed up on his own accord.
Now, why in the world would the Democrats waste their time with Bachmann, Perry and Cain, when the media and other sources can do it? Doesn’t it strike you odd that Cain was way up there in the polls and Newt was at the bottom with Bachmann? And now all of sudden, Newt is the smiling choir boy? :getholy: I don’t buy, the “conversion” to Catholicism story as the Christian Right (who leaves the Catholics locked out) has proven they are just as much a snake as anyone else in humanity. Really? Do you have a source for his saying Obama would work out ok? I understand that William Kristol and David Brooks were also in attendance at the lunch, among others who weren’t identified. Apparently Rush and Beck couldn’t make it (or weren’t invited). But even if Will lunched with Obama, what about the points he’s making right now in his column? I was hoping for a comment on Will’s points on their own merits, rather than an ad hominem.
So what? Newt owns himself and has as quick a wit as either of these two. He is more than capable of bantering back and forth without either of them painting him into a box. In fact, of all the GOP candidates, he is probably the best for doing these impromptu shows.

Those are exactly the reasons he will never be president. If he runs against Obama, the conversation will not be about policies or ideologies, but rather his personal failings. For example, while he was busy trying to impeach Clinton, he himself was having an extra-marital affair. That is not how you endear yourself to conservative voters.
So, you think the Obama campaign will go after his extra-marital affair and make the whole election about personal failings? That will be an interesting tactic for Democrats.
