I gather the consequences of her not complying with his “demands” were that he would be unable to trust her, and thus he’d walk away from the relationship. In which case, they aren’t really demands at all, they’re (imho) reasonable feelings he’s imposing on himself, in terms of who he feels comfortable with dating . Perhaps I’m wrong, but that’s the impression that I got.You can certainly ask about past relationships, but demanding to know is very different. There wasn’t anything my husband and I couldn’t tell each other or ask each other when we were getting serious. But if he had demanded to know about my past (not that there was too much to tell) that would have been a red flag for me and I wouldn’t have pursued the relationship any further. Same as if I had found out later he had lied about his past, I would have put an end to it right then and there. I think the OP and the girl in question have serious trust issues and I wouldn’t advise pursuing the relationship any further, for either party.
