You’ve got no right to speak for Baptists then. I speak for myself and I am a Christian and a Catholic and a human being. Catholics didn’t rebel, Protestants rebelled. I think Christians should stand together, but apparently you don’t.
Nah, creationists keep telling the rest of us we’re not Christians because we’re not anti-science. They tell me the opposite of Catholic scientists, Catholic schools, Catholic universities, Catholic theologians, Catholic philosophers and the Vatican!

Here’s a promise to all creationists - when you tell me the same as Catholic scientists, Catholic schools, Catholic universities, Catholic theologians, Catholic philosophers and the Vatican then I’ll stand together with you. Until then, I’m pretty certain I’m not the one dancing out of step.

One thought. Apparently, all the posts on Catholic Church protocol regarding natural science and Catholic doctrines have been thrown into the trash before reading. Sad. Apparently, there is no need to repeat because everyone is right.

There appear to be many people who read these threads without posting. You are speaking to them.
Those who come here to argue, gaining nothing from the dialogue ultimately do not understand, because they cannot or will not.
Not quite getting it, of course they will throw what they don’t value into the trash.

And so, in answer to the OP, distorting our vision of creation into the form of natural selection on naturally occuring random mutations, does away with the supernatural.
To the extent that someone adopts that view, one’s connection to the world of what is beyond the physical, will diminish and become chaotic.
We pray that this does not become the fate of humanity; but then, what happens in this life is not all there is.

I must thank you so much for your contributions.

Given the principles of evolution, natural selection, survival of the fittest, etc, do you think belief in the supernatural will die out or become a minority worldview?
Yes, people are slowly becoming to realize the truth aboit their religions.

What is this truth?

Ed
I would say it is that we should be joyous; it is all true, as has been revealed in the traditions of the church.
Although, I’m pretty sure that is not what the poster meant.

Absolutely not! 🙂

I believe evolution is a wonderful theory to explain the emergence of the vegetative, animal kingdoms, and the animal precursors of humanity.

However, because we are thinking and willing beings, we have an irreducible supernatural dimension, capable of relating to truth and being itself. Therefore belief in the supernatural will only die out when human nature dies out.

God bless,
Ut

You’re the one in schism, bringing disunity to your Church.

On one side there’s Catholic schools, Catholic Universities, Catholic scientists, Catholic philosophers, Catholic theologians, the Vatican and most Catholics.

And on the other there’s you and your band of American creationists. I found on another thread that creationists give greater loyalty to the Discovery Institute than to the Pope. You guys have no right to speak for Christians, you gave up that right when you rebelled.
You are speaking as if the Creationists believe in Creationism and nothing else.

sorry, that won’t fly here. You are still trying to divide and conquer Catholics by demonstrating disunity inside the Church. Sometime long ago you decided this was a brilliant strategy. Well, you Protestants ought to know, because you have divided and conquered Christianity thousands of times since Luther. 🤷

Christianity isn’t Catholicism either.

I think maybe some posters forget they are contradicted by loads of information we can all find online at vatican.va and elsewhere ;).

Those floods are beyond belief. Guess you’re OK where you are. My friend’s son is in Houston, our thoughts are with you guys.

There is one God the creator of all that is seen and unsseen, is this the truth you are relating to
