Sorry, but the kraut has no business on a pure Vienna dog. I prefer my unadulterated sauerkraut next to the fresh deli made kielbasa. Don’t get my started on Italian beef. An epicurean delight.

I’m very familiar with Vienna all-beef dogs, and I buy 30-40# when I’m in Chi-town, and I agree that kraut doesn’t belong on that brand’s dogs. But, other than “garden style,” I like kraut on NY dogs.

I agree about cooking kielbasa in kraut. My neighborhood in Brooklyn ha a number of Polish butchers who put out some 20+ varieties of kiebasa, Polish, Ukie, and Russian style, and the anticipation and expectation of eating my way through a lot of it borders on sin. 😃

You ought to try “kiszka,” a great breakfast treat fried and served next to your eggs. I don’t see it outside the Polish enclaves.

Are you from Chicago? I’d have thought that it would be available in Polish butchers there. Tell you what - comes winter, if I haven’t been kicked off the Forum ;), I’ll send you a ring of that special treat. Overnighting it would be too expensive this time of year. When my brother in Texas goes home to Bklyn, he always returns with a carry-on full of kielbasa and mostly kiszka.

It is more of a trend than just a few miscreants though. Someone as far to the left as Noam Chomsky is wined and dined on college campuses across America. Many right-wing people, or enemies of the left from the Israeli ambassador to Daniel Pipes to Ann Coulter need armed escort to venture forth into such deep enemy territory.Out right threats of violence to be catcalled and jeered so that nobody can hear is the common greeting that leftist give.

The left makes personal attacks against their enemies all part of the political discourse

Wait, “the left” makes personal attacks against their enemies all part of the political discourse, and Ann Coulter doesn’t? Isn’t this the woman who thinks its a funny joke to say that a Supreme Court justice should be given rat poison?

And “leftists” aren’t the only ones who are capable of thuggish treatment of those whom they don’t like-witness the congressman’s brother who had his gas lines cut, or the spitting at congressman who voted for health care reform.

Glenn could have avoided the entire situation if he had stuck with paid events. I think we’ve all seen the kind of people that are attracted to these “free” events. They exploit other people’s manners. I know I’ll be safe because this person has better manners than I do.

Please direct us to a photo of anyone spitting at a congressman. It has been searched and researched and no such evidence has been found. That is a pretty serious charge unless you can prove it.

Its a pretty serious charge to accuse a congressman of lying as well; Emanuel Cleaver (a Methodist minister) has enough of a record of honesty that I doubt he’s a liar.

Is it really that hard to believe? Crowds go wild all the time; Lyndon Johnson was spat on in his home state back in 1960.

Conservatives, unlike many leftists apparently, generally understand that there is a difference between direct physical assault and outrageous hypebole on behalf of commentators and shock jocks.

Virtually any speaker from the right requires security escort on most college campuses—against real violence!!
 
Mr. Beck has a security detail who is trained to know when it’s appropriat¬e to pull their charges out of a hostile situation. The Beck family stayed where they were and watched the whole movie. Thus, Glenn is either lying about the severity of the situation or he is admitting that his security detail is less than profession¬al.

Also, if Glenn or his wife REALLY felt that they were in danger, why didn’t they remove their children from the area? If I were in a dangerous situation and my children were with me, we would be out of there. Nothing is worth risking the life of my children. Either the situation wasn’t what Glenn claimed it to be or he and his wife are willing to place their children’s lives at risk just to watch an old movie.
