Sorry, but the kraut has no business on a pure Vienna dog. I prefer my unadulterated sauerkraut next to the fresh deli made kielbasa. Don’t get my started on Italian beef. An epicurean delight.A challenge like that sounds like it comes from Chicago.No comparison about pizza because Chicago is deep-dish and New York traditional style, which I consider better. As for hot dogs, there’s something extraordinary, even magical about a Vienna dog “dragged through the garden” Chicago style! I grew up on NY style Sabrett dogs with sauerkraut and onion sauce, so it’s a tossup for me. I love 'em both!
