Going without sex is not the end of the world!

I am also surprised when posters recommend that a young person simply get married or push up the wedding date if they can no longer wait for marital sex.
I think this is because it is mentioned in the Bible.

1 Corinthians 7:

8But I say to the unmarried and to widows that it is (G)good for them if they remain (H)even as I.

9But if they do not have self-control, (I)let them marry; for it is better to marry than to burn with passion.

This almost uncontrollable burning usually, I would think, comes for young men. God calls us to chastity at some points in our lives, and other times he calls us to union. The uncontrollable burning could be a sign from God that one should get married. He may call that person to continence at a later period in life. I think this was very common in the past. I think long engagements would be less common especially with late teen, early twenty year old couples if they took seriously that they should wait for relations until they were married. Not that it isn’t possible- I am speaking in generalities.

There are some medical reasons to masturbate. Masturbation or regular sex is good for the prostate and can prevent prostate blockage.

Storing seminal fluids for long periods can also cause prostate congestion, which in turn can lead to urinary and ejaculatory pain. Regular ejaculations, either through masturbation or intercourse, can help ward off this condition.

So what do men do? There could be some serious side effects by abstaining.
Lots of things could be dangerous. Having perfect health or living a long life are also not the ultimate goals. The issue is, as Black Jacque said so well, that we have forgotten what the ultimate goal is. I would trade good health while here on earth for my maximum of 120 years for an eternity in heaven! Let’s keep our eyes on the prize!!

Never had it…never will! It doesn’t hurt not being that desirable to the opposite sex in all ways! Do I get any brownie points for this, never the less??
