Golden Number linked to 666

While working on my websites on 666 Myth ( 666myth.co.nr/ French = 666mythe.co.nr/ ), on Pope Benedict 16 **- Mark 666 **( chez.com/cosmos2000/Forums/NEWS_MemoryPopeJohnPaul_II.html ) and on Isomorphous Triplets ( chez.com/cosmos2000/Numbers/IsomorphousTriplets.html ), I have found recently direct links between the Beast Number 666 and the famous Golden Number Phi, well-known by Pythagoras, Leonardo da Vinci, Vitruvian Man … and in Sacred Geometry, in architecture and many natural phenomenons. This unexpected and incredible relation 666 versus Phi may constitute a way for the Rehabilitation of 666 !!! …

First we have this curious relations:

666 = 7^3 pi (Phi – 1) = 7^3 pi phi or **666 = (6/5) ****7^3 Phi
with pi = 3.141593 Phi = 1.618034 phi = Phi -1 = 0.618034 and 7
^**3 = cubic of 7

Besides, after computing some sinus and cosines [a good online Trigonometry calculator available at 1728.com/trigcalc.htm ], expressed in Degrees and absolute values, we obtain:

Phi /2 = sin 666º** = cos 324º = cos 216º = cos 144º = cos 36º = 0.80901699…**
Phi = 2sin 666º** = 2cos 324º = 2cos 216º = 2cos 144º = 2cos 36º = 1,61803399…**

For those of us who do not teach advanced calculus at Havard could you please explain what all this is? The general point would also be a wonderful add on.

What is the point of this post…wow…big deal, you can point to 666 with mathematical equations…so…I can prove 2=5 with enough time and the right mathematical proof…what does this have to do with us, Pope Benedict XVI or George Bush, or whoever people believe is the anti-christ?

That is a link to the OP’s site…it is so, so sickening. This person is extremely anti-catholic and believes JPII and B-16 are the anti-christ…They are truly a troubled individual and really, really need our prayers…please pray for this individual…this is so sad.
 
What’s the point of vomiting out all this if you don’t take the time to explain it so that people can understand it?

The collection of numerologies on John paul II is quite impressive. I’m quite interested in the whole department of mathematics and gematria for proof of the signature of God in the Bible and otherwise as we see with Mary and John Paul II.

I’m not keen on relating Ratzinger to the beast, but you say 666 is not the number of the beast (although Revelation says it is his name) and then again, many people matched the 666 number, including Hitler I think, but they were boviously not the beast.

I do not know any math as advanced as this. Could you possibly try to explain to me the relationship of 666 to Phi?

And the news that the number is actually 616 is quite surprising! Unfortunately I don’t subscribe to the independant… could you please post some information about this? Was the originally believed 666 translation a copyist error? Perhaps the old scrol is the error which is why its discarded…

And if it is really 616, don’t all the relationships to 666 become irrelevant?

I would ignore anything the Independent has to say about anything to do with the Christian faith. It’s an uber-liberal paper I wouldn’t advise any Catholic to read. Unless you want an upset stomach.

No need to rehabilitate 666. Some background information:

To understand this, the letters of the Hebrew alphabet had numerical values assigned to them in much the same way that Roman numerals are formed by assigning values to letters of the Roman alphabet. If you add up the letters of the Hebrew spelling of Nero Caesar, you get 666. Now, in certain areas of the empire there was an alternate spelling which added up to 616. There were no printing presses in those days (BTW, an excellent argument against Sola Scriptura), so it was disseminated by rescript. In those areas where the alternate spelling was fashionable they made the substitution, and some manuscripts have been found with 616. There is nothing inherently evil about either number. They’re just references to Nero, a gravely deranged man.

Now to more serious matters. You can’t prove that sin(666) = -(sqrt(5) + 1)/4 ? Come on, where’d you get that Ph. D., DeVry?

666 = 720 - 54, so we can reduce the question to a matter of calculating the sine of 54, or the cosine of 36. Note that cos(36) = sqrt( 1 - sin(36)^2 ), so let’s work on sin(36)^2.

sin(5x) = sin(x) cos(4x) + sin(4x) cos(x)
= sin(x) (2 cos(2x) ^2 - 1) + 2 sin(2x) cos(2x) cos(x)
= sin(x) (2 ( 1 - 2 sin(x)^2 )^2 - 1) + …

I have already pointed that actually the concepts of pi, Phi and 666 Myth is from Ancients; but ancients mathematicians don’t care about the notion “transcendental” while estimating pi with integers to 22/7 or pi = 22/7. Another modern estimation is pi = 355/113 Ramanujan (1913-14) and Olds (1963)]

The constant pi is defined as the ratio of a circle’s circumference C to its diameter d=2r, where r is the radius :
C = 2r pi or pi = C/2r

So, pi is a real number by definition

But pi is now known to be irrational ( Borwein and Bailey 2003, pp. 139-140) and pi is also transcendental (Lindemann 1882).

Besides, Dixon (1991) linked pi to Golden number Phi:

6/5(1 + Phi) = 3.141640… = pi

Huh…you two have lost the rest of us in your mathematics war…I agree with a lot of what you said, but my question for you, is if you believe what the Church teaches in regards to the Anti-Christ? Do you believe there will be a persecution in the future of all Christians, and the person in charge of this persecution, or tribulation, will be the Anti-Christ…the Son of Perdition? I do believe that there will be a tribulation and an Anti-Christ, as per the Catechism…but is it possible for the Book of Revelations to be both an account of history and prophetic at the same time?

I have no clear answer, because 616 or 666 are just myth …

However, some people speak about number coincidences, synchronicity and so on. But actually, in numbers pattern there is no accident. The language of numbers is pure, with sublime meaning.

May be, Mathematics, physics and science in general are just some ways to help us discover the sublime nature of the world, the cosmos and God’s power.

The number would be God’s shadow, because it is beauty, and besides, number is universal language and this contrary to all the alphabets.
God would doubtless be the biggest mathematician of every time.
