Normally when people see others playing with fire, they try to stop them. Harvard is encouraging them…
 
Kind of embarrassing, honestly. They aren’t going to use the real Eucharist, engage in any orgies, or even sacrifice an infant. :rolleyes:

They are atheists who are using a “dark” philosophy to shock and offend the religious. They are basically the all grown up version of the guy in high school went around listening to Marilyn Manson and misquoting Nietzsche. It’s embarrassing enough when you’re 17, but even doubly so when you’re an adult who hasn’t grown up yet.

Since this is a Harvard ‘educational and informational event,’ perhaps the sponsors could invite Satan himself to attend and answer questions.

Or maybe he’ll just show up of his own accord.

Why is this educational? Two sentences in a history course would tell a person all he/she could possibly need to know. Do they re-enact the Revolutionary War on campus, from start to finish? World War II? Do they fake a “Zimmerman” letter and walk students through every contact with it?

No. This is actually intended as “lookee thar” entertainment plus anti-religious propaganda.

no no no you misunderstand me! I DO NOT support playing with the occult. I mean Ive read about demons and how to defeat them. I am fully against the slightest of supporting the occult, i dont even support Harry Potter! I am very interested in spiritual warfare, and aid in warfare every day. I fight legions of demons and am totally against the occult. I learn about the occult but ONLY from a Catholic point of view. Im sorry for the misunderstanding.

The occult is a dangerous, vile, disgusting thing that I would never dare touch, unless I am fighting it or learning about it’s dangers and spiritual warfare from a catholic point of view. I am interested in spiritual warfare, but trust me im on your side! 😊

Im curious what would happen if a consecrated host did happen to be used in a REAL satanic mass? Would the ground start shaking, would those involved suddenly drop dead or be cursed, etc.?

I imagine it would be pretty serious, thankfully it hasnt happened yet!

I also imagine ANY mass dedicated to Satan himself would only give him more power, even if they say its fake.

People already do desecrate hosts, it’s been happening for a while.

As for “giving Satan power”, I’m 99.5% sure that Satan just is what he is and don’t think we can augment him in any way. Even in terms of enjoyment or satisfaction. My understanding is that his separation from God pretty much means he’s ticked off 24/7 and there’s nothing that will quench his thirst.

True. BUT the important thing is not whether it gives satan pleasure, it is that is disgraces God.

It hasn’t happened, yet? There is a story circulating right now (no mention of its veracity from the Vatican that I know of) that a host was found abandoned and bleeding in a church in Buenos Aires, Argentina, home of Pope Francis. But, even if this story were to be a hoax, there are stories of not only misuse, but of Eucharistic Miracles.

Believe me Jesus Christ is abused in front of our very eyes, and not infrequently, by people who in their unrepentant sinfulness receive His Body as if it were indeed just bread.
 
God gives such people a time and a season yo repent.

In the meantime, let us pray and make reparations to blasphemies and insults to the Holy Body of Christ and pray for their conversion. This cannot hurt God, of course. It only saddens Him and gives the Enemy claim over them. Pray that that claim may be broken.

I find the Chaplet of Divine Mercy very holy.
