Costco took the book off their shelves but had to put it back when their customers complained on their facebook site. Now Google made it hard to find when people looked for info on it but that has been fixed after complaints. It is stirring up some fear in our government and that is good.

The government works for us, not the other way around. We pay their salaries although many up there are more devoted to lining their pockets with special interest groups money than doing good things for the American people in general.

Just got out of the theater. Fantastic movie!! It is really uplifting, but at the same time really shows the path we are headed down. This movie is a must see.
Glad you liked the movie. It is a must see for sure!
Now if we can just figure out how to reclaim our country and get it back on track again!

That’s the question, alright.

I don’t know that’s it useful for people to spend 6-9 hours a day listening to conservative talk radio and get riled up. That doesn’t actually accomplish anything.

I think this movie should make parents think about how they want their children educated. If my husband and I were young and had young children, I wouldn’t let them anywhere near a public school, and I would examine the curricula of any private school. It’s pretty hard to “undoctrinate” a child once they’ve had their brain programmed.

One recommendation I have is that parents of teenagers seriously consider sending them to a fantastic week-long educational experience called “Summit.” It’s expensive, but worth every penny. It’s not Catholic, but it’s definitely Catholic-friendly (I base that on the newsletter we receive, in which Catholic teachers and teachings are given coverage and respect.) It’s not meant to educate teens in religion/theology, but rather in “worldview,” and give them a Christianity-centered worldview.

Here’s a link: summit.org/

We sent our younger daughter to this conference when she was 16, and we also sent her then-boyfriend-now-husband along with her (paid his way). They had a great time, and the conference definitely shaped their worldview. It was one of the best parenting decisions we ever made.

I think another effect of this movie is to make us think very carefully about what the “celebrities” tell us. I think a lot of Christians already do tend to disregard the political statements of movie/TV stars, but we’re still humans and it’s easy to listen to a favorite actor/actress and start saying, “Yeah! I’m for that!” This movie brings us to a place where we are more willing to listen with both ears and our mind OPEN instead of turned off.

Celeberty obsession is probably one of my biggest pet peeves. I’ll go to my friends or family and be like “did you hear about Ukraine, or Iraq or the recent law that was passed, ect…” And they always respond “no who cares! But Lebron scored 50 points last night.” It drives me crazy how apathetic people are about Religion, politics and world events. To many people care about the Kardashians instead of the things that’s May effect their lives and country and world. Just my thoughts

The US government intentionally makes us feel powerless and depressed. That’s why so many people tune out of reality. But that only means they have us where they want us, either dumbed-down or apathetic. It is from this type of populace that they will ultimately wrest total control.
Look at what happened at the Bundy ranch. Over 200 BLM jack-booted thugs surrounded the ranch, armed with semi-automatic weapons. Please someone explain to me how our executive branch is not led by tyrants. Why exactly did the government purchase billions of bullets, and why do agencies such as Education, BLM and FDA have SWAT teams? Rob

USDA, Post Office all bought weapons! It’s ridiculous

But that’s very true. I ask people why they don’t care about stuff like world events and they say things along the lines as “it dosnt make me happy” or “it’s not good news”. Maybe that’s more reason to pay attention to it

What should be done?

This is what makes the U.S. different from so many other countries. There won’t be a violent revolution.

I’m in the camp of the Tea Party when it comes to wanting smaller government. But I am not happy with their apocalypic language. I think this hyperbole and emotionalism, almost like tent-meeting preaching, casts down on the credibility of the Tea Party. I think that calm rational language and tone is the best approach.

I agree with that. We need to try and fix the problem peacefully and by electing people who will do that. Educating people is the key

They dumb us down and distract us with stupid and immoral television and movies and professional sports.

Dinesh claims that Obama is ruining America with bad politics and then goes and commits campaign fraud. He says that atheists don’t want to abide by christian teachings because there are too many sexual prohibitions (adultery being one that he mentions by name), then cheats on his fiance.

Normally, I couldn’t care less if he’s going to prison for campaign fraud or cheats on his fiance with someone else’s spouse. But when he tries to claim the moral high ground and point out those flaws in others, it just makes him look like a hypocrite. It doesn’t seem like his christian morals are really making him a better person. They’re just another stone to cast.
You’re right. I am mo longer reading any of the Gospels, save for St. John’s, and certianly nothing from Peter. He denied Christ THREE TIMES!

Why should I care if what he said rings true???
Well said.

This notion that somehow ‘white people’ have committed all these sins and crimes and the rest of the world is somehow innocent and pure is foolish.
Muslims destroy the WTC, and we’re told most are peaceful, and not to lump them together.

Some white men and women commit atrocities (along with some blacks, and other colors), and white people become the borg collective.🤷

His movie title rings true now. “America, imagine a world without her” I can see what happens when America pulls back from leading. We are seeing it now. The tyrants take over.

First of all, millions of individuals who believe in individual sovereignty and support Constitutional principles loosely support something called a “Tea Party”. There is no leader per se. Some individuals use incendiary speech, which reflects not a whit on anyone else.
I must say at this point that I believe the survival of America as a free nation is not certain. Obama is issuing decrees like a dictator. Government is spending money now that our great-great grandchildren can never hope to repay. Our nation’s unfunded liabilities total something near or above $100T, growing every year. There is no way to wrap these facts with a pretty bow. Rob

P.S. Cat, you aren’t saying that it is a GOOD thing that all these agencies have their own SWAT teams, since this ensures that the U.S government will never be overthrown, are you?

Of course they did. Movie critics are the most liberally biased people on Gods green earth. When I looked the critics gave it a 9% and the users gave it a 90%. There is a huge disconnect between the media and the America people. Social engineering at its finest
Yes I would pay more attention to the user or audience rating than the critic rating.

Plus if a critic likes a film, I usually hate it. Go with the people poll.
I am the same way. I have wasted money on movies the critics raved about like Avatar and was completely unimpressed.

So it doesn’t surprise me they gave the dinesh d’souza movie a low score.

“Costco CEO Craig Jelinek told me this week that demand for my “America” book is so strong that they are going to have to limit purchases per family.”**

This was from D’Souza’s facebook page. I haven’t bought the book but want to.
