Yes. Spiritual is not subject to time and space. I have no idea how it could be real.

By the way, why we are given a new body upon resurrection if Heaven is not space and time bound?
Oh! - given a new body - good point that.šŸ‘

Thatā€™s a very good question, and not one I feel qualified to answer. However, from what I understand the resurrection of the body occurs at the end of time at which time there will be a new heaven and new earth, according to Revelation 21. Of course, the book of Revelation is an account of a vision and open to interpretation.

Also, Jesus, Mary, and 1 or 2 others from the Old Testatment (Ezekiel comes to mind) were assumed bodily into heaven, so presumably they still have their earthly bodies. Since God is God Iā€™m sure he can figure out the intricacies of how to make that work.

Humans live in the universe, and we have mass, as long as we are joined with our bodies. So, as long as we are alive and have mass, we are able to perceive time. Once we die, we will remain only a soul, which does not have mass. Therefore, it would likely be timeless, and function in the same way as a massless particle like a photon. In other words, we would exist in eternity, without time as a construct whatsoever.
I just had Mass last Sunday, and boy could I perceive time passing. Lol. JK. Sorry could not resist. šŸ˜ƒ

With people asking difficult questions like these now I know why Jesus talked in parables. šŸ˜ƒ

I donā€™t know the answer to the question, but if heaven is immaterial then time as we know it can not exist there. Since time is a measurement of the rate of change of physical things. However, that begs the question are there spiritual clocks in heaven? I certainly hope not, as I like to sleep in. šŸ˜›

You can sleep 6 days a week, but then you have to float out of bed and get to massā€¦you just donā€™t want to be the only guy in heaven missing mass O.o šŸ˜ƒ

You are very qualified to answer this question. The question is very simple and that means that there is a flaw in your system of belief.

Talking about flaws. Have you considered your own jumping to conclusions fallacy here? How does the question is simple translate to your belief system is faulty? . Simple questions do not always have simple answers. Or we might not yet know the answer fully.

It is not a simple question and there is nothing wrong with my belief system.
I say Iā€™m not qualified because Iā€™m not a theologian. I believe in heaven and the resurrection of the body because these things have been revealed to us. What hasnā€™t been revealed (but what can be discussed) is the ā€œhowā€. Not knowing the ā€œhowā€ of the material world is exactly the lifeā€™s work of every scientist. Scientists donā€™t have all the answers either, does that falsify their belief in science?

I see Bahman has apparently abandoned yet another thread. I get the distinct impression that heā€™s not really looking for answers to his questions so much as trying to get us to question our faith.

Iā€™ve thought that, but if so he uses very poor logic and his own brand of logic/science that is limited to his exact confines. That I doubt would rock the faith of many but the new or minor aged o.O

Hard answer! Simple question has simple answer. You are given a new body before going to heaven, a spiritual realm, where there is no space. That is a flaw.

It is not a simple question and there is nothing wrong with my belief systemā€¦
No one can help you if you are no helping yourself. You cannot go to Heaven with your resurrected body. That is a simple flaw.

I just was simply busy. Sorry for delay. Your impression about me is wrong. Of course we should question what we accepted as faith. There are several faith around the glob and all of them cannot be right.

You cannot go to Heaven having a body. We are human and we are alive when we have both spiritual soul and body yet we cannot go to Heaven. What is your answer for this situation?

My apologies. And yes youā€™re right, we all should test what we believe so we can know whatā€™s true.

Then you know more than God, apparently the full body assumption of Christ and Mary wasnā€™t actually possible and therefore you have quite well proven God wrong.

And all that stuff about new glorified bodies in the new heaven/earth situationā€¦again you successfully prove it all wrong :bowdown2:

Our souls go to heaven first, not our bodies. Itā€™s only at the end of time that our bodies are reunited with our souls, and at that time there will be a new heaven on earth. Revelation 21:1-3, 22-23
"Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband; and I heard a great voice from the throne saying, ā€œBehold, the dwelling of God is with men. He will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself will be with themā€¦And I saw no temple in the city, for its temple is the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb. And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine upon it, for the glory of God is its light and its lamp is the Lambā€

I didnā€™t say that I know more than God or God is wrong. All I said that you cannot go to Heaven when you have a physical body since Heaven is spiritual and there is no space there.

Resurrection! What do you think about it now?
