“And turning back the CLOCK would be a terrible thing to DO”!
  • NO legalized abortion (in FACT it was once criminal – if you were born before 1973 your life in the womb was protected from those who might murder you for cash or convenience)
  • Pornography was a crime also
  • Divorce was much more rare
  • Most children were born into two parent homes. More stable financially, emotionally
  • Entertainment was more child friendly and young children were not sexualized in Kindergarten.
  • The percentage of females in prison was much less because women committed less crimes. (And in fact, if one turns back the clock, there were less males by percentage in prison because there was less crime by percentage).
  • Less young people were coached into adulthood by street gangs.
  • More people ate family meals together each day … rather than alone.
  • The most popular methods of birth control were keeping sex in marriage, being self-controlled, and an occasional period of abstinence - versus the constant “medication” of birth control pills for women as if something is wrong with them.
  • Once doctors would only provide the healing arts and help people. No respectable doctor would be such a thing as an “abortionist”** (that was for street criminals - who were prosecuted).
** (Nazi Germany excepted!)

But LET’S not turn back the CLOCK!

Yes. Mrs. Clinton calls herself a Progressive.

Abortion does not heal a problem where two healthy adults are involved.

Encouraging sex outside of marriage and abandoning the woman is not a good thing.

Sure, it’s the woman who gets pregnant but where consent is involved, did she get pregnant by herself?

There was a Vice Squad. You get could arrested for obscenity and profanity and performing as a stripper. That was a good thing.

I ate with my family every day.

All the moms I knew were stay at home moms.

We were taught to stay away from the bad kids. (A) If one of the bad kids got caught with stolen property and you were nearby, the police might have probable cause to believe you were involved. (B) We were never taught to be mean toward the bad kids, or to consider ourselves superior. We were told to simply not imitate their behavior.

Being in a gang? No way. And back then, the worst you might see was a knife or a chain, not AK-47s!

Divorce was rare. And if it did happen, it was a private matter involving zero gossip. It was viewed as a sad thing, but zero rumors.

Those who viciously hated families spread vicious lies that all men were 100% evil.

And those things you mentioned about mostly healthy, happy families and limiting sex to marriage. Today, you will actually hear supposed experts claim it was never like that!

You and I have news for them: IT WAS EXACTLY LIKE THAT. We did not lose one second of sleep over Russian ICBMs, but the horror to come was devastating to children in the womb, out of the womb and to men.

Women were exploited by vicious anti-life women.

Thanks to Popes John Paul II, Benedict and now, Francis, the world that was turned upside down for women is being righted, as well as for men. And God Bless Archbishop Vigneron in Detroit for reminding Catholics that they can’t not care about Church teaching regarding issues that primarily involve the misuse of human sexuality, including abortion.

Let us pray for Mrs. Clinton. God knows I’m a sinner, but we should encourage all concerned to start caring about the truth and realize the consequences of our actions and/or realize that we’ve been misled.

Peace,
Ed

I believe she cares about women and so do most people. And I’m happy she has publicly supported and helped spotlight some of the injustices done to women and girls throughout the world.

Abortion is one issue in the world and most young women in the United States support legalized abortion for women. They know it benefits them materially on earth insofar as they’re not forced to take responsibility for the results of their sexual lives if they don’t want to.

But abortion is not the only issue or concern in this world.

Somaly Mam for instance, trains her young girls at her shelter to gain a voice, and in part learn to do that by speaking publicly to men about wearing condoms. A number of her young girls (not even teenagers yet) have acquired HIV from Cambodian men that have paid to have sex with them in brothels. Some of them already have developed AIDS. Some of them have already passed away from AIDS. In Cambodia many men believe that having sex with a young, virgin, girl will not only make you strong but cure you of AIDS. So, virgin 8 year olds are sold for sex to diseased men with the money to pay.

One young girl that passed away from AIDS was a young teenager when she died. She was brought to the brothel around age 6 or 8. Somewhere around there in age. For years she was sold to men. When she finally contracted HIV and got to sick and thin to work, the pimps threw here out in the street. Somaly Mam found here out laying in the streets emaciated with pimps having thrown stones at her.

Until Somaly Mam she never had anyone in the world to love her.

From decades of war, starvation, and then genocide the nation and people of Cambodia have become hard of heart. They instill in all young girls to remain quite–to carry their crosses and traumas in absolute silence. They would not dare to complain as we do on this forum. One keeps their tragedies and heartaches to themselves.

It is good Somaly Mam has these girls that come to her shelter tell their stories–to break the silence–to complain with privilege like well fed men.

One young girl that was 8 or 9 years old was abducted and gang raped by 5 or so men in their 50s, while her parents were out of town. Too small in that “region” they cut her with a knife so she could fit them. When the girl was brought to Somaly they rushed her to the hospital to be sewed up. Somaly’s organization brought charges against the men. Long story short, the men argued in court that the little girl was dressed seductively and that they paid her for sex. The judge decided the girl was young and could rebuild her life and that it would be an injustice to send men of such venerable ages to prison. Somaly’s organization and the girl lost the case. The girl’s mother refused to take her own daughter back. Somaly’s organization then became the guardian of the girl.

There are more issues in this world than just abortion. And many of the men of this world make it easy for Hilary to attain the power and influence she has.

Perhaps men should be less hard of heart.
I care about women too. I have a daughter and have been married to her mother for 42 years. If being against abortion makes me hard hearted, then I guess I am, but in my opinion allowing abortion has started the world on a slippery slope we may never climb back out of. All things go back to having a respect for life. Now there are discussion about euthanasia and the ethics of killing a child who survives an abortion procedure. Now that I would consider hard hearted.

Turn back the clock and HERE is a role model.*
  • Even Annette got a divorce once as America “moved forward”.
Feminist role model at the time?

Bella Abzug

Thanks for your take Ed.

The women’s liberation movement was planned. It acted like a vehicle that transported the mind of men and women to a new way of thinking and acting. The gay movement is also planned and will act as a similar vehicle for transporting the minds of people into acceptance of homo sexuality. Once accomplished, the movement itself will fade away.

I think men and women should be paid the same wage for the same job…employers should not discriminate!
I would trust that if Hilary had her own administration, she’d make sure women were paid properly.

Hilary for Prez!
If the man and woman are equally qualified/personally capable. But it is never true that any two persons are equal in every respect, not even if the two are identical twins.

I truly hope she runs for President. Looking forward to voting for her.

We know that she is a pathological liar, and through her health control plan, she proved that she believes in big government control of every aspect of our lives. I hope you don’t have children if you plan on voting for her. We are being transformed into one ugly socialist state, if you haven’t noticed.
So, WHY are you so excited about Hillary again? Rob

Actually no. In its eternal pursuit of orgasms, pedophiles have been repackaged as “minor attracted persons” and the APA appears to be in support of defining their behavior as normative. The “let’s protest everything crowd” won’t stop. For them, protesting is an obsession.

Which reminds of a line from a time period where more moms were more actively involved in guiding their children. Mom to son who wants to do something bad: “You think because all your friends are jumping off a cliff that I’m going to let you do it? Don’t you even think about doing that.” And this during a time where ‘honor your mother and father’ was on our minds.

I truly believe I’d rather take a bullet in the brain than vote for Hillary Clinton. The way things in the country are going, it may actually come to that.

@ bold: that was not my point.

In the most simple terms I was stating that men make it easy for Hilary to have the power and influence she does. Most people realize that even if abortion were illegal men would still be going about cold hearted and uncaring.

What Hilary represents to many is a person of empathy. And in fact in some ways she is.

I don’t want to argue too much over this. The war against gay marriage and abortion and a number of other things are about as lost as the Vietnam War. Stubbornness and self righteousness trumps clarity and truth.

If the world one seeks is heaven then heaven (and not only anti-abortion, or pro-gay) is what one should seek to bring or model on earth, and not single political issues.

Hilary–though she brings some good–is no different than those that rail against abortion, neither has no intent nor want of heaven being brought to earth. They only have their agendas and war flags for the day. And so be it whoever falls trampled under the hoofs of their war horses.

I’m strong enough to survive some of the fallout people like Hilary will bring. I’m old too. But there will be some young boys, those not of the alpha ranks, that will fall and be trampled under the feet of “progress.” If I had my way I would save them.

Unfortunately for them, too many of the adult males that should be their guardians, are willing to let them fall. But society will reap what it sows. Whether in more school shootings or in however it it may become expressed in the future. Hilary and feminist will raise women up even further (and that is a needed thing for girls in many nations of the world). But the alpha males will do fine. They always have. The target of feminist hatred and exploitation will be the males of the lowest rank. Just simple reality.

For me… I can either recognize the figurative Vietnam War is being fought stupidly and go down with the war, legless, scarred, angry etc… or I can let it go and walk away. Create my own little figurative “garden” and leave everything in the hands of God. Trusting God is greater than myself. And make my peace with abortion, gay marriage, and a changing world.

It is important to me that if I ever do have kids that I have a happy home. Unlike what I was raised in. So, the tragedies of the outside world and all its angers must remain on the outside once those doors close. I want BBQ and laughter. I want my children laughing. And not faking it. Not most of the time anyways. And maybe that means in the future I adopt a few little girls from Cambodia thrown away by the world. Maybe. And maybe that is “unmanly” in the cultural sense I will have produced and left no genetic offspring. So be it. I can not live by listening to all the yapping of the world. And Hilary and feminist are too big a power and force than me. The alphas males that crushed the world under its feet marching in conquest from one place and thing to the next are equally to great for me to take on. I’m a small person, like that E-1 soldier in Vietnam. The question before me is how much am I going to allow the great and powerful of the world to use me in their single mined crusades?

So, if heaven was brought to earth there would be no abortions, no raped girls, no girls intentionally humiliating the low rung boys on football fields with “girl power.” But heaven is not on this earth.

And so for the feminist and alpha males, when that girl goes on the football field in high school or college and has spine smashed up in some way, paralyzed for life. It may look cold hearted of me when I close my front door to it and all the yapping about abortion. But all have reaped what they sowed in their single minded crusades. I want happiness and laughter inside my house and for my children.

Peace.

YOU may choose to turn a blind eye to the slaughter of tiny innocents for fear of being labeled “self-righteous”. I won’t. To me, pre-born children are fellow human beings, and I offer no apologies to those “heaven-minded” among Christians who are disturbed by those of us who remind you of the grave injustice of human abortion. Rob

Your comment makes no sense at all .

It’s strange you’re not in prison if you in fact don’t so-called “turn a blind eye,” and instead defend the lives of unborn children with deadly force.

Like the Vietnam War, the E-1 does not set the war strategy, I’m an E-1 in life. I’m simply not going to follow incompetent generals and leaders into a war fought stupidly. Life is too short.

Like Somaly Mam says, some people are too big to fight, and she’s not out to change the world, just one girl’s life at a time. I understand Somaly entirely. Only a person that has truly been an outcast and one of the despised without power can. Every liberal and conservative waving banner to change earth and heaven with their single minded crusades, who regard themselves as victims on earth by the other side, think it wrong to face reality and know that some forces are too strong for you to take one.

American women in great numbers want abortion. I’m not going to change them on that. I’ll leave God to be God. I’m a nobody in America let alone anyone any many American women would listen to. I’ve raised my voice of objection to abortion. Now I will live my life. Simple as that. And if I have children, once the doors of my home close, all the hate and self righteousness of the world is locked outside. Mine will be one of happiness. Period. That I have power over. Those that made their bed will have to drink their own cups of bitterness.

And no… I’m not going to sacrifice my life for some unborn child not mine who’s mother has paid a doctor to act as a hit-man.

If you feel so strongly about it–and not using it as a political board whilst really not caring much at all about those unborn–then I suggest you pick up a gun and go do something about it.

However, what I would kill over, and be willing to go to prison or lose my life over, is defending with deadly force, a small girl like that 8 or 9 year old Cambodian girl that was gang raped and sliced open by 50 year old men. Then I’d be willing to pull a trigger and–I hope–be willing and prepared to do the prison time and torture in a Cambodian prison.

By the way… I get the same self righteous responses online from young liberals in the UK that think I ought single handedly change all the tragedies in Black-America. Like Somaly Mam, I know I’m too small a person to take on a whole rape industry and every powerful person in Black and liberal America. Imagine me going against Obama and Snoop and Beyonce?

But I’m amazed at how much Somaly Mam has done with no formal education at all. And from one of the most despised segments of Cambodian society. She has just a little education from grade school. But has now learned to speak French and English and has done more in her life than most people with doctoral degrees.

If she was my general then maybe I would jump off a bridge if she told me to. I’m not worthy to carry that woman’s sandals.
