OK, so would you please ask Him next weekend what He thinks about that event planned in Jerusalem.

But please tell us His answer, not some bible or catechism quotes!

Thank you!

Werner
Okay you are obviously not cahtolic or christian - if you were you would know the bible and his church are word and tantamount to his absolute will, so I don’t know what your doing here, your causeing a lot of disruption, I think you need to leave…

Werner:
No, what i was saying is that if there’s no plagues of locusts, or frogs, or the Death Sea turns red, or starts raining sulfur, then God doesn’t care about a party of some people in Jerusalem.

See the little difference?

Werner
I think we all know that God has had this display of judgement since the old testament, so I don’t think just because he doesn’t rain fire on them that he will not be thuroughly saddened and angered (as most of us here are) at this blatant maqurade of such an abomination…

Werner:
If somebody celebrates something it is a party. Just if you call it “perversion” doesn’t make it one.
There are people who call a Catholic mass an idolatry and a perversion.
But that doesn’t make it one, and nobody has the right to forbid it.

Werner
Are you delusional or what!
and just because you don’t see it as one does it make is so either, the content and results are what makes it perversion in truth, and by that standard homosexuality is, period…

See, this is why Jesus founded the Church, to teach His Truth on earth until He comes again. The Church’s teaching on homosexuality is God’s. If you want to reject the Church’s authority and make yourself the judge of doctrine and morality, that is your business I guess, but you are creating a different god than the one worshipped by Catholics.

Yes, it is called making oneself a god.Moral relativism.

'How can one make himself a God when he is under Gods word and direction from God’s holy spirit???

Werner:
now look again at your post:
love — HATE

I wish you would get rid of your hate, because “if i would not have LOVE i’d be nothing”

And hate is the opposite of love!

Werner
“If any one comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple.” (Luke 14:26)

“No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.” (Luke 16:13)

Although the word ‘hate’ is used, there was no word ‘like’ or any in between word, only the words ‘hate’ and ‘love’ and these were used to refer to a variety of relationships. Some Bible texts today soften the word substituting ‘give up love.’

Anyway the point is ‘hate’ as it was used back in Jesus’s time didn’t always carry the extremeity it does now, the point is that one must be ready to forego love for others when they seek God, as human relationships in many cases only hold people back. To hate would usually mean here, ‘to avoid.’ in such cases when one’s relationship with God is at stake, to ‘hate,’ that which holds you (or even in this case, mankind and civilization) back from God, is the noble thing to do. Not the hate where we condemn people, but the true hate to condemn the act and associations with it and the ‘hate’ where we take away love i.e. avoid, be firm against those who continue to force their view and make you love them for it.

Werner:
Look at your sentence above.
The Lord never spoke about hate.
He spoke about love.
You define yourself with hate.
That is the problem.
That is your problem.
I pray that some day you might understand what Christ’s teaching is about.

Werner
The Lord certainly does speak about hate.

The Lord loves those who hate evil Ps 97:10
For I hate divorce, says the Lord Mal 2:16
read through Deut. 16:21- You’ll find a whole lotta things the Lord hates.

Jesus does say to Love your ememies and pray for those who persecute you. Jesus hated sin and the result of sin-death. He weeps over the death of Lazarus, not because Lazarus is gone but because of the sin that brought death!

Jesus fufills the OT prophecies, He is the Son of God. God is unchanging. Read Mt 23. Jesus doesn’t sound too much in love with the Pharisees, He even asks them how they can escape being sentenced to hell. I’m not saying He hated them, but He did hate their actions and inactions due to their motives. What are the motives of the people on these forums who you accuse of hate? They are talking about protecting society from sin, its the sin they hate, not the people.

Werner:
No, that is dead wrong!
The Lord taught us, if we do not love we will not enter heaven.
Nowhere did he tell us we have to hate something to get into heaven! Au contraire, He explicitely condemned hate!

Werner
  1. Amen, amen, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains just a grain of wheat; but if it dies, it produces much fruit.
  2. Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever hates his life in this world will preserve it for eternal life.

  1. You are not a god who delights in evil; no wicked person finds refuge with you;
  2. the arrogant cannot stand before you. You hate all who do evil;
  3. you destroy all who speak falsely. Murderers and deceivers the LORD abhors.
    psalms 5:5-7
  4. You love justice and hate wrongdoing; therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your fellow kings.
    psalms 45:8
  5. The LORD loves those who **hate **evil, protects the lives of the faithful, rescues them from the hand of the wicked.

    proverbs 3:32
  2. Do you not know that the unjust will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators nor idolaters nor adulterers nor boy prostitutes nor sodomites
    1 Cor 6:9

OK, so go on with your “religion” of praising and adoring holy hate.

I for myself will stick with the one of whom John said “We have come to know and to believe in the love God has for us. God is love, and whoever remains in love remains in God and God in him.”

You know what is the opposite of love and what is the opposite of hate?

I understand your point, but I believe that you are confusing “love” with “tolerance”.

To love truly as Christ taught us is to love unconditionally, regardless of a persons faults & shortcomings, but to love unconditionally does not meant we overlook or ignore someones sinfulness. We do not judge, but it is clear when a person is living a life that does not follow the Gospel of Jesus Christ, so we must correct, instruct & admonish.

“Tolerance” is the exact opposite of love, opposite in all things to true love that comes from God. Tolerance does not correct, instruct nor admonish, in fact it does nothing. Tolerance is not what Jesus taught us, He taught us to love as He loved us, not put up with sin all the while detesting the person who is in error.

The most important aspect of love & the one aspect most forgotten or ignored is that LOVE DOES NOT REJOICE IN WHAT IS EVIL, BUT REJOICES ONLY WITH THE TRUTH.

I’d agree, Divine Providence is most likely not all to impressed with a group of sexual perverts parading in the streets just to invoke hatred & then claim to be victimized by religious people, but God does not rejoice in their sinfulness either. If God were to unleash His wrath on all sinners then there would not be one of us left to stand blameless in His pressence, so He allows these things to happen, just as He has allowed abortion, murder, war, famine, & the overwhelming spirit of ignorance to plague mankind. It is not His Divine Will, but His permissive will to let such things exsists.

It’s our job as Christians to take a stand against the workings of the evil one in this world. If we stand idly by & do nothing, then we have become worthless both to God & ourselves.

Love is action. Love is eternal. Love is not tolerance.

Your assertions are without reason and nothing more than an attempt to push sin as virtue.

I can agree with your post, not with everything you write, but completely with the way you wrote it.

It nicely contrasts with that “we must hate, hate, hate to get into heaven” coming from some others.

Thank you!

I see. So, your claim is we must love, love , love sin and love disobeying Christ to enter into eternal life. Thank you for clarifying.

I think your love of sin and relativism has blinded you. Right?

You see how one can twist the truth when one has an agenda.

Ok so the homosexuals will march here and there…most anywhere
and then what
how many places does the ‘gaypride’ group have left to march in before they realize the uselessness of it all
they don’t make me upset
eventually they will have to come to terms with their own limitations and there are limitations
too many to mention
