Should I get protection from “bullies” if I chosse to go around saying “I hate blacks,” even though I don’t involve myself in hate crimes? (BTW, I don’t) What is the point in professing homosexual tendencies if you’re not pushing toward it’s acceptance? If a homosexual wants attention, I say let him have it, “good” with the bad. There should be a price for perverting society.
Not liking girls is not the same as hating blacks. He’s simply being honest with himself, and the Church has never said that possessing a homosexual orientation is a sin. In fact, the Church has specifically said that it is not. It is homosexual acts that have been defined as sinful, not homosexuality, and chaste homosexuals do exist.

And there are a lot of things that the Church defines as sins that we would never permit people to be mocked and beaten up for; a Catholic who converts to Buddhism is making a serious error and possibly committing a serious sin, but do we allow people to call them “f____” and throw them into lockers? No, emphatically not, and if there was a problem with people doing that, there would be quick action to stop it. And yet, involve a gay person and all of a sudden people’s opinions change to the point that they are virtually saying that “If he gets beat up, he probably deserves it.”

That report is horrible.

This is forcing a topic that don’t need to be discussed. It is like promoting and discussing adultry or out of marriage sex ot other actions that should not be discussed at school.

I would support a class on not having before marriage sex, SSA and why you should not have sex, that you can catch AIDS, diseases and generally subject yourself to other risky behaviors.

I like how the day of silence teaches disobedience and disruption of class and then they use that as the example of how they are discriminated against.
This was found through the various links, specificlly from Mass Resistance.

mass.gov/cgly/08annrept.pdf

While it does not go into detail, further, in depth research will describe what they are doing in schools. We know what they do in schools, this is no new secret. And the government is funding it, also not new.

All this gay stuff in schools, is designed to brainwash kids into accepting gays.

Well, if one wants to avoid the persistent question of why you aren’t trying to date girls, that’s an honest answer, and it avoids well meaning friends trying to set you up on dates.

Also, if one finds some value in the truth by itself, that’s another reason.

Note-I’m not gay myself.

Homosexual behavior is not evil. It is sinful, but there’s a difference.
The condition is objectively disordered, the act is intrinsically evil.

***LETTER TO THE BISHOPS OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH
ON THE PASTORAL CARE OF HOMOSEXUAL PERSONS

…***3. Explicit treatment of the problem was given in this Congregation’s “Declaration on Certain Questions Concerning Sexual Ethics” of December 29, 1975. That document stressed the duty of trying to understand the homosexual condition and noted that culpability for homosexual acts should only be judged with prudence. At the same time the Congregation took note of the distinction commonly drawn between the homosexual condition or tendency and individual homosexual actions. These were described as deprived of their essential and indispensable finality, as being “intrinsically disordered”, and able in no case to be approved of (cf. n. 8, $4).

…***Although the particular inclination of the homosexual person is not a sin, it is a more or less strong tendency ordered toward an intrinsic moral evil; and thus the inclination itself must be seen as an objective disorder.

[357](javascript:openWindow(‘cr/2357.htm’)😉 Homosexuality refers to relations between men or between women who experience an exclusive or predominant sexual attraction toward persons of the same sex. It has taken a great variety of forms through the centuries and in different cultures. Its psychological genesis remains largely unexplained. Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity,141 tradition has always declared that "homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered."142 They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved.
2358 The number of men and women who have deep-seated homosexual tendencies is not negligible. This inclination, which is objectively disordered, constitutes for most of them a trial. They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided. These persons are called to fulfill God’s will in their lives and, if they are Christians, to unite to the sacrifice of the Lord’s Cross the difficulties they may encounter from their condition.
[2359](javascript:openWindow(‘cr/2359.htm’)😉 Homosexual persons are called to chastity. By the virtues of self-mastery that teach them inner freedom, at times by the support of disinterested friendship, by prayer and sacramental grace, they can and should gradually and resolutely approach Christian perfection.

Well I live here in Massachusetts, and I don’t know of any so-called, “homosexual,” programs, much less if any are being funded while others are being cut.

The governor is cutting across the board, including aids to cities and towns.

It would’ve been more credible if the person in the OP’s article, actually point out the programs that are going to be funded.

He didn’t which suggest that he’s following an agenda of his own.

It’s one of the four sins that cries to heaven for vengeance…by the way, when exactly is sin good?
I believe you are referring to the sin of Sodom, which applies to all forms of sodomy and applies to everyone regardless of ‘sexual orientation’. Some also suggest that lack of hospitality is part of the sin of Sodom.

Anyway, I don’t think ‘homosexual’ acts should be set singled out as more evil than other offenses to chastity such as fornication, adultery, pornography, rape, etc. Yes, ‘homosexual’ acts are evil, but so is fornication.

The Lord is offended by all sins against chastity.

Our Lady of Fatima said:

“More souls go to Hell because of the sins of the flesh than for any other reason.”

“Many marriages are not good; they do not please Our Lord and are not of God.”

“Certain fashions are being introduced that offend Our Lord very much.”

Also, if same-sex-attraction is truly a psychological condition, as is believed by many, I think that God in His infinite mercy will be merciful if the sinner is repentant. Jesus did forgive St. Mary Magdalene.

The Church has diminished the responsibility of persons commiting sins based on various factors, such as psychological or social factors. I’m not trying to say that people who commit these types of sins are innocent, but only God can truly judge a person at the end of his/her life.

Suicide and masturbation are regarded as grave mortal sins, but the Catechism also says this about them:
Grave psychological disturbances, anguish, or grave fear of hardship, suffering, or torture can diminish the responsibility of the one committing suicide.
2283 We should not despair of the eternal salvation of persons who have taken their own lives. By ways known to him alone, God can provide the opportunity for salutary repentance. The Church prays for persons who have taken their own lives.
2352 By masturbation is to be understood the deliberate stimulation of the genital organs in order to derive sexual pleasure…
To form an equitable judgment about the subjects’ moral responsibility and to guide pastoral action, one must take into account the affective immaturity, force of acquired habit, conditions of anxiety or other psychological or social factors that lessen, if not even reduce to a minimum, moral culpability.

Homosexual acts though constitute many sins.

First would obviously be disordered lust which violate a persons normal desire for flesh with that of a person of the same sex.

Second would be the fact that the sexual desire and act would be acted on out of marriage with the selfish desire for gratification.

Third would be the act of sodomy in and of itself.

Correct - they should not be standing up for evil even if they believe in it.
But your definition of evil isn’t the end-all-be-all of definitions. Secular society doesn’t care if homosexuality is immoral according to the church. It’s not a criminal behavior. Therefore it is the job of the public education system to represent those who are homosexual to the same extent as they would a heterosexual student.

“Disordered” thoughts are rarely the fault of the “disordered” person.

Don’t assume motives. That’s god’s job.

Exactly - we have definition drift. What was known as evil now may not be. However, we must get our definitions as close to the truth as possible. We know the only source of absolute truth is God Himself.

Im not assuming anything I am making an observation of the steps that would be taken before engaging in a homosexual act.

A chaste homosexual has no need to declare himself or bring attention to himself.
Right. The chaste homosexual, that person living as the Church teaches, should keep his or her mouth shut. He or she should step as far back in the closet as possible in an effort to make sure that nobody is able to see an example of Church teaching actually being lived. The chaste homosexual should not bring attention to himself (or, God forbid, attention to the young people dealing with homosexuality) because that would make many pious heterosexuals uncomfortable. And, as we all know, the children of those pious heterosexuals couldn’t possibly be homosexual and in need of a good example of the truth being lived.
What is the point in professing homosexual tendencies if you’re not pushing toward it’s acceptance?
Good thinking. Let’s don’t accept the fact that many people are struggling with homosexual tendencies. Let’s sit our kids down tonight and let them know that we will never accept that some people are dealing with homosexual tendencies. That way, if our kids do happen to be homosexual (oh, I know that’s not possible, but humor me for a minute), we’ll make sure they never come to us for help, support, and least of all: acceptance.
Kids should be careful enough not to act in a way that paints a bullseye on them.
Wow. Quite simply, wow.

I’ll go ahead and take my chaste, homosexual self back into hiding. Oops, forgive me for declaring myself a chaste homosexual. I forgot that there could never be a point in doing that. I’ll just hide in the pews as usual. I was going to say, “forgive the sarcasm”, but I’ve decided not to.

Note to self: quit coming back to CAF. It’s not worth it.

But still my point is - what does the Church have to do with law outside Her walls?

As a chaste homosexual do you push the gay lifestyle?
