P101:

If you don’t hold her in high regard and you don’t trust her to form church doctrine why do you have this?

By the way, references to ani-catholicism is all over your website as well.

You might want to get rid of that link pretty quick if you want to convince any of the catholics here that SDA’s are not anti-catholic because your website certainly IS.
There are also references to anti Adventism all over this web site. Over the two years I have posted here; I have been called EVERY name under the sun; both publicly and privately, with the same types of names and adjectives being extended to my denomination. I am not here to convince you or anyone else that I am not “antiCatholic.” I am here to compare and contrast our respective doctrines, just like the CA forum description tells us to do. There are going to be hard feelings at times during this process. We need to just accept that and continue to try and move forward.

I really don’t know how you expect anyone to be a Catholic, and not be anti Protestant. For the record; I accept all the names and derogatory things said to me as just a part of the process of comparing and contrasting ideas and doctrines. I am not offended by any of it; nor do I consider anything said about me or to me as a personal or hatred type thing. You would do well to adopt a similar attitude.

I am very much against certain Catholic doctrines and ideas; yet I have Catholic friends. And they know exactly where I stand. I think that that alone proves you are wrong about me being anti-Catholic.

If you will slow down and read more carefully you would see that the Protestant101 web site mentions that a big focus is on historical development of doctrine and practice. Therefore, Ellen White, along with many other Protestants, either are or will be on that site. No different than this site with all it’s “Fathers” writings, and Papal writings, and extra-Biblical sources.

Jesus was the Founder of the Adventist Church. Jesus was a Protestant; and we follow His path, not just that of the Apostles.

…So if you think for one minute you can come here under the false pretense of “wanting to learn” as most of the non-catholics on here do, and then attack our beliefs and not get punched in the proverbial nose for it, you are so wrong.

You are not an innocent, but one who baits people and then attacks like a preditor.

Shame on you.
Hi Happily, want to borrow my Blowup Smiley to let off a little steam?

Happily:

I wouldn’t do that if I were you. I wouldn’t even repeat that line more than once. I’m sure God has a sense of humor . . . . but I wouldn’t press it.

I already did it. I sincerely want that particular statement to be totally and completely set asunder.

Well, okay, but get yourself a lightening rod and carry it with you at all times. Rubber soled shoes would be a good idea too.

The Father knows the spirit of my intention. I am not worried.

However, I do have some concern for our OP.

Why do Catholics have private property?
nice try,but won’t work…you are the one making the claim that SDA’s do only as the apostle’s did in the bible, now in scripture there was no private property among those in the church,so why,if you only follow scripture, do SDA’s have private property???

Guess you like laughing at nothing. I didn’t say Jesus was an Adventist. I said He was a Protestant.

I thought He was a Jew…did I miss Him becoming a Catholic and then becoming a Protestant?🤷
Of course Jesus was a Jew; but He never was Catholic or an Adventist. But He was always a Protestant. Throughout His earthly life He always protested in favor of truth, and that, indeed, in behalf of all people. He was for everyone, and against no one.
What a wonderful Savior is Jesus OUR Lord. 🙂

Protestants follow the example of Jesus and His disciples. Bent with age as were the traditions of the elders, Catholics continue even now to present the “novelties” which had covered over and set aside the truth in Christ’s day. Christ took a definite stand against these traditions, and an equally definite and positive stand for the truth of God as revealed in the Holy Scriptures.

It is worth noting that today, some Seventh-day Adventists virtually stand alone in taking a definite and positive stand for the important Bible truths which had been gradually covered over, and set aside in this way. These truths have been cast aside by most Protestants as well.

Protesting in favor of truth?

If Jesus was protestant, then maybe you’d like to tell Him that the religion He established was the “wrong” one 😉 Because I’m certainly not going to tell Him that!

But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?

Jesus did not establish the Catholic religion - only the Protestant one
