How can I respond to..."They are children of Satan"???!

How truly sad.
I came to this forum for guidance. I am heart broken to find out how narrow some of the posts have been.

I thank those who have truly listened to the Question.

I will pray for those who in their own darkness condemn so many.

Are Muslims and Catholics the same???

No…

They need to be shepherded. I hope that those of you who have judged these lost ones find forgiveness. God have mercy on you.:knight2::knight2:
 
Sometimes the quick responses that are given do the most harm. I am a nurse in a high risk labor and delivery unit. My patients listen to what I say, how I say it, how I treat them and put stock in what information I give. I must lead each of them regardless of their beliefs thru labor and sometimes loss.
This forum guides Catholics as they try to reach out to correct error and to lead EVERYONE closer to Christ however…
Our non-Catholic brothers and sisters are listening as well. :knight2:

Please don’t assume that just because someone disagrees with you, that they are intentionally misleading. You are a nurse, I am a prosecutor, everybody labors.
I think you are looking at the world thru a rose-colored glass and are not seeing what is really going on.

hi. are your older brother and nephew protestants? ill tell you what. while working for 40 days for life, i could get no protestant churches to join us. its not even a Catholic movement. ill take Jews Muslims and anyone i can get my hands on when its a human rights issue. and quite frankly, having had discussions with Muslims and Jews in the past, i prefer their company to your typical fundamentalist christian. and dont forget. the Jews are only seperated from us by a degree. my prayer for them is, that we may one day become one, as we were before the destruction of the temple in 70a.d. Peace 🙂

Christ does not call countries. That is a modern separation. We are not trying to save an entire family much less an entire country at a time.:tsktsk:

They fundamentalist BIBLE Christians. They are as confused in their theology as some of the members who have been posting.

Nobody wounded me and what little ones?
I am always ready for my God but I will not turn a blind eye to the evil that has infected this world. Or will you say that Christians flew planes into the World Trade Center? Will you say Jewish women strapped bombs and blew up the Moscow trains? Will you say Buddhists blew up our troops at Fort Hood? An evil has infected that religion and it will spread until good people who are not blind stop it. Take a look at what is happening with Europe, a Danish newspaper published a CARTOON of Mohammed and there were riots on the street. Are there riots on the street every time Christ is degraded in Family Guy?
Leave your kids be.

We are all little in His Eyes,even the 1.6-1.8 billion muslims who have not blown anyone or thing up.

Do you seriously want to have the statistics on the autrocities that so called Christians have been responsible for?

No, i want you to answer my original question of how many people there actually are in this " fringe" of muslims that seem to be particularly set on killing innocent men and women.
With all due respect, if you ask me whether I am " hard hearted" and “narrow minded”, I will ask you whether you are blind and where you were on September 11, 2001.
God helps me often.

All Americans were shaken by the Terrorist attacks of 9/11, and I’m guessing you are a little bit more upset now because of the attacks in Russia (your tag thing says your Russian Orthodox, so I’m assuming you are Russian, though you might just be a part of that jurisdiction).

It doesn’t matter how many people actually have terrorist inclinations, and how many don’t. If there is even one Muslim that is not a terrorist, then by stereotyping those people, we are hurting that one person. And, btw, I know there are at least 3 Muslim non-terrorists who are my very close friends. If we embrace the negative discourse of the attackers, then we are sinking to their level and committing the same atrocities, or at least justifying them.

All groups of people have committed terrible acts. The Christians, the Jews, the Muslims, the Athiests, the Americans, etc., nobody is perfect. We cannot judge an entire population because it seems to be their century to mess up.

You are quoting lines that have nothing to do with this discussion. Christ was speaking concerning leading children astray, not whether we should pray along side with Islam.
Where have i not spoken the truth? Who have i condemned?

I am Russian but I consider this country my home. Loss of innocent life hurts everyone regardless of what it is. If your muslim friends will do nothing to condemn the attacks or if Muslims won’t speak against it, are they not encouraging it? Silence can be a sin as well.
And let’s not make excuses for their century to mess up. I’ll be damned if i let American lives be lost again because we were too afraid to call things as they are.

Simply put, in God’s economy we are ALL children and little, even the Muslim little ones. We are talking God after all.

Not all Muslims have been silent.

Not all evil is from the Muslims.

You have condemned all Muslims, since the original question addresses the “statement” from my family members claiming they are all sons of Satan.

Again, 1.6-1.8 billion Muslims are not attacking us…if all of them were, you would have seen it on the news.

We need to call things as they are, but no more than what they are. We need to condemn those that did the attacks, not all Muslims. Everyone who is silent is guilty, not only those of the same religion. Like a said, stereotyping is violent discourse, which justifies violent actions in the future, that is what lead to the Holocaust, and the last thing we need is for us to start killing off all the Muslims.
