Actually, I didn’t know he wasn’t serious. He is correct in stating that a portion of the LGBT community (including myself) does not want the genetic source of homosexuality found, but he has the wrong reasons. There are a significant number of people in this country who sincerely believe what he stated (sarcastically, which I didn’t pick up on) as a means of eradicating homosexuality and “purifying” the human race. I would never, ever want a genetic cause of homosexuality to be found – it will only lead to attempted genetic manipulations and/or abortions of children in the wombShe knew darn well you weren’t being serious. There’s no way she missed the smiley face.
My apologies. I am very sensitive about this issue because parents already selectively abort (either through IVF in the West or blatantly in the East [and a small bit in the West]) based on gender and it is beyond a shadow of a doubt that abortions based on sexual orientation would be a high proportion of abortions if a gay gene was found.As a Catholic I abhor abortion.
