How can you be Democratic and also be Catholic?

Could you explain what you mean by that? I cannot figure out how you got from what I wrote to that statement.

People are trying to co-opt the term pro-life and denigrate those who don’t agree with their choice of candidate (anyone but Trump) as simply ‘pro-birth’. . . .

People are trying
So you not only put a large group of disparate people into the same sack, you decided that I belonged in that sack based on a single line about the tunnel-vision version of pro life that DJT claims to support? Talk about silly…

. . . . Isn’t that the point I’m making is that it’s not a vote for abortion but rather against it. That’s the problem with the duopoly mindset that are in some Catholics. Let me ask you this has Trump promoted any of the questions posed in the parable of the sheep And goats? The problem with both parties is that only have one or the other of Catholic views while the ASP has both. And maybe I didn’t make clear that voting for the ASP could be viewed as a way to do and promote the works of mercy

And I know it’s a losing cause but a vote for Reese’s pieces is not a vote For M&m’s and is not a vote for skittles but only a vote for Reese’s pieces. But if enough people see the ASP then they might be more willing to jump ship and instruct the ignorants on both sides of the aisle

I’m sorry, but you might as well go whisper your beliefs down a well as to vote for some party that has absolutely no chance of winning.
But if enough people see the ASP then they might be more willing to jump ship and instruct the ignorants on both sides of the aisle
And if wishes were horses, then beggars would ride. This is like watching a child go through the ice on a river and resolving to run for city council so you can propose building a bridge there and doing nothing while the child struggles in the icy water.

And in the meantime more millions of unborn children will die because too few are willing to do the only thing that could be effective, which is to hand the Democrat party defeats until they realize they can’t win with a pro-abortion agenda.

That’s an interesting proposition but one is entitled to vote for a third party, even a very minor one that won’t win. I like the ASP. I might vote for them. Or I might vote for another third party. I haven’t decided.

With no intent to offend, I am not a big believer in gestures. I prefer to be a part of actual causation, however small.

I agree with you. However, I am very dismayed by prolife people who do.

Is a single vote meaningful no matter who it is for?
I live in a state that will undoubtedly go red. Does my vote matter?

I believe it still does and I will not vote for either major candidates.

Hah! At least you are honest. Thanks. But it does still matter at least to me.

It appears you are not Catholic. Likely your particular faith does not have the same view of abortion as does the Catholic Church or perhaps even the teaching authority of your church. So there’s a difference.
