How do I know if I'm born again?

Firstly, you don’t need to recall it. It doesn’t say that you are injecting that into it to fit your protestant interpretation.

See protestants don’t interpret the bible honestly. They are taught their flawed theology, and take those principles and try to mold them into what the bible says.

This is what you are doing.

Just to show you the foolishness of your argument, what happens if you get amnesia?

Should you get re-baptized since you lost your memory of being born again?

So this change came when you were an infant or sometime when you were an adult. The moment you became a believer you became changed. It could not happen as an infant, see?

You can produce no evidence that children were not to be baptized.

I can produce evidence that the earliest Christians included baptizing their children.

Thats a major difference between Apostolic Churches and non-Apostolic churches.

Judas could not be born again because the Holy spirit was not given till pentacost or when Jesus breather Him on to the other apostles.
 
Hi,

My hubby was baptized and raised catholic. Let me tell you he is not a born again christian by any stretch of the imagination. He has only been to church a handful of times since he was 18 and he is 44 now. He shows very little fruit that Jesus speaks of.
He has very little knowledge of Christ and what He did for us on the cross. Thankfully he has me as his wife:p I do explain the gospel to him when the HS nudges me.👍 Mostly I live by example:thumbsup:
Dont get me wrong I love my hubby and he is a good husband and father but he is not saved:(

Im sorry if Im coming across harsh but Im very passionate about the fact that being catholic is not the magic bullet for getting into heaven.😦
IT IS CHRIST and as soon as my hubby accepts that he will be joing me in heaven:D AMEN!!
His baptism did not save him at all. I can say that if my hubby were to die today(God forbid) he would not be going to heaven. That makes me very sad but it is true and my prayer for him and my son is that God not take them until He has saved them.😃

Myself and my daughter have accepted the gospel(Thanks be to God:D )

AMEN!!!

lol, so you define born again as, literally, being in either of those two situations. So that means none of us are born again because we cannot go back in time. (actually Catholics go back in time every mass).

EXACTLY!!!

It is something that really cannot be explained accurately. One needs to experience it.

Although Paul is a fantastic example:D HMMMM I wonder if that is why God chose to save him that way–as an example for us:cool: 😃

That is one SPECIFIC example of how grace can affect a person.

Look at what happened! God actually spoke to Saul! That manifestation of God doesn’t happen too often in practice.

To whom much is given, much is required.

Since Saul was given so much (namely this manifestation), it behooves him to labor so much.

But you are right about one thing, true conversion, requires radical change.

You are born again when the Spirit of God comes upon you.
Through your faith and God’s grace. Believe me you remeber when it happens.
