Wait a minute there!!! Read Matthew 16:18 over and over and over and over again until you grasp the nature of Christ’s Divine Promise. It is 100% clear and direct.

The accusers bear the burden of proof, since they make an unfounded allegation based on ignorance.

Ask them for proof that is not mere bigoted opinion.

You can’t disprove a negative, so don’t worry about it.

The items listed in revelation 18: 12-13 at first gave me hope but it turns out the Vatican has a lot of those items

Here’s the list
gold, silver, precious stones and pearls; fine linen, purple, silk and scarlet cloth; every sort of citron wood, and articles of every kind made of ivory, costly wood, bronze, iron and marble; 13 cargoes of cinnamon and spice, of incense, myrrh and frankincense, of wine and olive oil, of fine flour and wheat; cattle and sheep; horses and carriages; and human beings sold as slaves.

I bet a lot of folks and countries have a lot of these as well. Although, I don’t think the Vatican has cattle, sheep, horses and carriages. Or human beings sold as slaves.

Most of what you mention could be found in the Roman Empire though. Hmmm…

Read 1 John 4:1-4.

You are overthinking this.

Everything the Vatican has was given for the glory of God.

Are you suggesting that this is a bad thing?

So did the White House. . .oh wait, now we’re really going to get some comments.

Yes the Roman empire had all of these things but that doesn’t change the fact that the Vatican has a lot of these things

Look, I’m going through this list you gave and I’m having a hard time here. The Vatican probably doesn’t have 13 cargoes of cinnamon lying around. Walmart probably does and I might be persuaded to argue that Wally-World is the Whore of Babylon.

But every sort of citron wood? Probably not at the Vatican.

13 cargoes of spice, incense, myrrh and frankincense?

13 cargoes of wine, olive oil, fine flour and wheat? Maybe in the kitchen somewhere but so, too, does Walmart.

Cattle and sheep? Maybe in the meat department at Walmart. But not at the Vatican.

I’m sorry, I feel Walmart has more of a chance of being the Whore of Babylon than the Vatican does.

The 13 you’re seeing is indicating that it’s verse 13 not that they have 13 cargoes

It appears that the OP is the accuser!

Revelation probably shouldn’t be read by the casual observer.

Oh, well I’m sure Walmart has them then.

But seriously, this is feeling like a stretch to accuse the Vatican of being the whore of Babylon just because of all this. There are literally thousands of places that the have the same amount of stuff.
