How do I relate to homosexual couples with whom I work?

Because, she feels that what she does will, over time, affect what she thinks.

Pretty good Catholicism, actually.

If she treats unnatural sodomite pairs who are mentally abusing children as “normal” “parents” “raising” children, this is not only a lie, it is a source of dissonance which can not only affect someone’s religion but even their mental health.

Dishonesty eventually affects us.

Orthodox Catholics, huh? Good to know.
Okay, I’m going to respond to you in the same tone, if you want to play that game.

Your air of spiritual superiority is clearly misplaced. I guess love of thy neighbor only applies to people you like, huh? The rest should be avoided. Very “Catholic” of you.

Perhaps it didn’t occur to you, despite your genius, that acting polite around people isn’t a lie?

Think about it for a bit and see if you can wrap your mind around it.

Treating abusers as parents IS a lie.

Go ahead, tell me how Catholic you are.

How do you recommend we treat gay people, if not with respect?
With honesty. Same way we’d treat anyone engaged in a destructive behavior. OP cannot be honest in her situation, I say she is correct to worry about herself in a situation of constant tension like that.

Translation: Being nice to people who sin makes me bad! Run away, run away!
Why, you are a big bad orthodox Catholic debator, aren’t you? Not going to deal with the real issue of whether a Catholic should be advised to remain in this situation? Not going to deal with whether a Catholic has a moral responsiblilty to speak up against homosexual couples “raising” children, thereby abusing them by distotring their development?

Nice. Well done.

Glennford, I was being polite until you came in and insulted everybody who disagreed with you. I’m only acting like this since you insist on treating us this way. So if you’re not getting off your high horse, why do you expect me to?

I expect you to actually engage the thread issue. The OP didn’t ask for tips on how to score points with gays. She asked about the danger of her situation.

If you don’t think we’re trying to respond to the OP’s problems then you just haven’t been reading the thread.

Anyway, she asked for the best way to deal with this. We gave our opinions, then you came in and insulted all of us. That was rude. Spin it how you want to, but that doesn’t change it.

Honestly I don’t know why you’re responding to us so rudely. It’s totally unnecessary. Nobody here did anything to you.

I have to believe that you’re smarter than this. You know it’s wrong. If you don’t believe their arguments, there’s no reason for you to accept anything you don’t think is right.
How is this not a response to the original post?

You actually don’t have an obligation to speak out to gay parents who are raising their child. Fraternal correction need only be done if there is a chance that what is said will be considered. Parents are not going to give up custody of their kids and separate because of a catholic teacher’s opinion. If asked her thoughts she can’t lie, but she won’t be asked.

How narrow. I was thinking of speaking in general. How people are losing their jobs when their opinions are discovered on their facebook, etc. But, yes, also directly If asked.

And I still disagree with you.
That’s lovely. You haven’t actually responded to anybody’s posts, just made broad, seeping statements about how we care more about loving gay people than we do about being Catholic. Who here implied that?

I thought we were speaking about the OP’s specific situation?

To me, no. To the OP, yes. Not just bad advice, but galactically, catastrophically bad.
Please explain what is galactically, catastrophically bad about being respectful to other people. Do you recommend that we treat all sinners poorly, or only certain ones?
