But the Holy Bible says he was crucified, died, and was buried. Also in full knowledge what his mission was.

My reading of the Koran would support this understanding, though it is not necessarily the way a Muslim would see it.

Question.—What is the meaning of Christ’s resurrection after three days? reference.bahai.org/en/t/ab/SAQ/saq-23.html

Answer.—The resurrections of the Divine Manifestations are not of the body. All Their states, Their conditions, Their acts, the things They have established, Their teachings, Their expressions, Their parables and Their instructions have a spiritual and divine signification, and have no connection with material things.

39 And he went a little further, and fell on his face(that is sajdah!), and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. Matthew 26

Prophet had used to go sajdah when they want something from God and Jesus went to Sajdah. That is not point but to show some part of Salah or Salat which Muslims do every day.

Jesus prayed God to take that cup away from Him. There are some points here. If Jesus pray to be saved by God that demonstrate that Jesus did not want to be killed or suffer. Jesus went to sajdah to escape from that and Jesus said that ā€œFather I accept what you willā€. So Jesus had not decided to be killed or suffer as sacrifice. And Jesus is not part of divinity to decide to be killed or suffer because He went to sajdah to be saved. If jesus were humanly God(that is not possible) He would not behave in that manner. Did He beg from Himself? Did He trick people that He was God but He lived merely as human? Did He ever say that He was God? If He did not say so was He liar?

And the issue it is writting in Bible that Jesus was died and raised after 3 days. Jesus did not say that He raised from dead. Someone who looks like Jesus was crucifixed so when people saw Jesus again after 3 days they thought that Jesus had might raised from dead. Jesus tried to show that He was not dead or ghost but people thought He was dead. A man who seems like Jesus was crucifixed and writers of Gospel might thought that Jesus raised from dead. Was it written in previous scriptures that Jesus would be crucifixed? There should be some informations about Jesus in previous scripture and Jesus told apostles about those prophecies about himself.

As it was written and confirmed in the Holy Bible before the writings of the baha’i faith

So why is it you believe that and not Luke 24: 19 -27?

So why is it you believe that and not Luke 24: 19 -27?
19 And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people:

20 And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him.

21 But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done.

22 Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished, which were early at the sepulchre;

23 And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive.

24 And certain of them which were with us went to the sepulchre, and found it even so as the women had said: but him they saw not.

25 Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:

26 Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?

27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself. Luke 24

I believe.

It is written chief priest condmened Jesus to death and was crucifixed. Because someone looks like Jesus was crucifixed. That is strange as if Jesus did not know that so he asked ā€œwhat things?ā€. That Jesus asked what things demonstrate that Jesus was not crucifixed. And angels did not say he raised but instead said He was alive which mean He had not die or crucifixed. People said He was a great prophet and that is said by Jesus too in Bible. Jesus said He was a prophet but some Christians say He was God!

One thing is not clear that Jesus said " Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?" Did He mean crucifixion or rejection of people and adjudging Him to die? I thing He was very suffering and sorrowful before crucifixion which He said by Himself.

You see Bible does not conflict with Qur’an but uncertain points and interpretations do.

1]Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?
I believe you have failed to understand grammar.

Jesus is asking them what they think, not that he doesn’t know. . Nothing strange at all.
That Jesus asked what things demonstrate that Jesus was not crucifixed.
Luke 23: 46 Jesus called out with a loud voice, ā€œFather, into your hands I commit my spirit.ā€. When he had said this,** he breathed his last**.
Jesus said He was a prophet but some Christians say He was God!
Actually the Jews knew exactly what Jesus meant about himself.

John 10:33 - We are not stoning you for any good work," they replied, ā€œbut for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God.ā€

34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?

35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;

36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God? John 10

You see Jesus said ā€œIs it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?ā€ and also "Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God? "

hasantas, Do you have …or is there an islamic documentary scripture indicating otherwise?

19 And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people:

20 And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him.

They told Jesus what happened!
Yes and then? Don’t stop. It continues…
ā€œ
21 but we had hoped that he was the one who was going to redeem Israel. And what is more, it is the third day since all this took place. 22 In addition, some of our women amazed us. They went to the tomb early this morning 23 but didn’t find his body. They came and told us that they had seen a vision of angels, who said he was alive. 24 Then some of our companions went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said, but they did not see Jesus.ā€

So Jesus makes it clear…

25 He said to them, ā€œHow foolish you are, and how slow to believe all that the prophets have spoken! 26 Did not the Messiah have to suffer these things and then enter his glory?ā€ 27 And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself.

Notice : "Slow to believe " see that?

Now let’s continue with it…

28 As they approached the village to which they were going, Jesus continued on as if he were going farther. 29 But they urged him strongly, ā€œStay with us, for it is nearly evening; the day is almost over.ā€ So he went in to stay with them.

30 When he was at the table with them, he took bread, gave thanks, broke it and began to give it to them. 31 Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him, and he disappeared from their sight. 32 They asked each other, ā€œWere not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?ā€

See that? They finally got it . "Were not our hearts burning within us? " Thus they doubted no more. (Also the breaking of bread led to them realizing it was truly Jesus, Breaking bread is a Jewish custom) More about this can be provided if you wish to ask.šŸ™‚

Now continuing on…

33 They got up and returned at once to Jerusalem. There they found the Eleven and those with them, assembled together 34 and saying, ā€œIt is true! The Lord has risen and has appeared to Simon.ā€ 35 Then the two told what had happened on the way, and how Jesus was recognized by them when he broke the bread.

36 While they were still talking about this, Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, ā€œPeace be with you.ā€

37 They were startled and frightened, thinking they saw a ghost. 38 He said to them, ā€œWhy are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in your minds? 39 Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have.ā€

40 When he had said this, he showed them his hands and feet. 41 And while they still did not believe it because of joy and amazement, he asked them, ā€œDo you have anything here to eat?ā€ 42 They gave him a piece of broiled fish, 43 and he took it and ate it in their presence.

44 He said to them, ā€œThis is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms.ā€

45 Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures. 46 He told them, ā€œThis is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, 47 and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. 48 You are witnesses of these things. 49 I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.ā€

There we are Hasantas. Clear as day! I pray you are opening your heart to this.
The man who looks like Jesus was crucified so people thought Jesus was talking.
So now you see this is NOT true what you have been lead to believe. Amen!

About John 10 I’ll talk on later .

Praying for you Hasantas.

Yeah, and what about that Ascension thingy šŸ™‚

39 And he went a little further, and fell on his face(that is sajdah!), and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. Matthew 26

.
He said this because he foresaw all the people that would be ungrateful for the sacrifice that he was going to make.

Let’s keep our focus on the New Testament. That’s what Jimmy was doing when he responded to Hasantas. Don’t stray from the subject matter please.

Qur’an says Jesus was not crucified! Is that not enough?
No its not good enough. I want an Islamic documentary script indicating on the events that happen. 600 years after the fact doesn’t count. What muslim was there to give an eyewitness account on what happen?
There is Jewish scripture saying it happen…even Roman texts stating it had happen.

As I said earlier hasantas, the quran is not good enough

Quran is good enough to show that their religion does not harmonized with ours, so that means it can’t come from the same God.

Not to sidetrack this thread but just curious. Jesus proved that he had risen from the dead. The Scriptures say he rose from the dead. Even outside writings say same thing. But if the Muslims claim it was NOT Jesus, but someone else, I have two questions.
  1. Who was that other man who was crucified
    and
  2. I notice that the Muslims use ā€œPBUHā€ after the name of Jesus which means ā€œPraise Be Unto Himā€. My question will then be, why praise someone who according to their beliefs is a lair?
Just askingā€¦šŸ¤·

They will probably say the other man was just some criminal that nobody cared about. Jesus is a prophet to them, so they say that his followers misunderstood or misinterpreted what he said, so that means Jesus isn’t a liar.
