I have two. The first given to me by my parents for my First Communion. The second given to me by a friend six years ago. She took a tour of Europe, and while in Rome, she choose a Rosary for me and asked the Pope to bless it.

I don’t know, I’ve never counted them. That’s like asking how many Bibles I own. Let’s just say several.

One. I have been given quite a few over the years, but I always give them away when I have a friend or family member joining the Church. We also adopt a family every year, and I think that always makes a nice addition to the Christmas basket.

I have one i used to have more but don’t know what happened to them.

I keep a chaplet in my pocket and have a full size rosary at home. A rosary ring as well, and a couple dozen plastic rosaries I give away. So in all, easily more than 6.

I have three…one that was given to me by my parents when I received my First Communion, one that was given to me by my aunt, a nun, on the same occasion, and one that I made from nylon cord that has a crucifix sculpted from duck tape–it’s a Boy Scout rosary.

I have several, but primarily use two: a rosary ring that I had been given in high school, and then misplaced – but it turned up mysteriously on the floor next to my bed after I prayed for the intercession of St. Therese during my son’s serious illness 10 years ago.

The other rosary is one that I found in the church garbage when I was a kid – made of cherrywood and had been blessed by Paul VI. I was praying it after the open-air mass that John Paul II said here in Chicago in 1979, so I am reminded to be very reverent when praying with this rosary, since it carries the blessings of two popes.

I’m a brand-new convert, so I don’t have one. While I’ve read a little about the Rosary, I must confess I don’t fully understand it. Any helpful resources, people? Is it something that might get covered in my RCIA class?

You found it in the garbage? Why would they throw away a blessed rosary? It’s a good thing you picked it up.

Mine is made of wood and has got 5 different colors, they represent the 5 continents! So each 10 Hail Maries are dedicated to one continent.

One in my car, one next to my bed, and one in my office. The one in the office was a gift to my Grandmother-in-law who has now passed on to eternal life. When her children settled her estate they returned it to me and my wife.

I own one that I inherited from my grandmother. She wanted me to have it. I never knew how important her faith was to her until after she died. It was very sad. I had to talk to my dad about it after because she wasn’t there to answer any of my questions.

Before I distribute our latest order to the prisoners, my wife and I own over 100 rosaries.

The part can never be well unless the whole is well.

Yes, I did. When my mother asked me where I got it, I told her I found it in a trash can near the church’s incinerator. She didn’t believe me – she thought I must have stolen it. So she took me over to talk to the pastor, thinking I would ‘confess’ to my theft, but I didn’t change a word of my story.

It turned out that one of the younger, post-Vatican II priests had received it from someone in Rome, and tossed it out as some irrelevant reminder of the “old church.” The embarrassed Monsignor let me keep the rosary and gave me his blessing. That was about 37 years ago, and I still use this rosary.

Lets see. Well my pilgrimage around Europe kinda boosted my collection but. 1John Paul II rose petal set, 1 John Paul II pearl ones that came in a pyx, 1 Mother Teresa Rose Set, 1 Lourdes Rose Set, 1 Lourdes wood rosary bracelette, 1 green plastic set inherited from my great grandmother, 1 white plastic that i got after graduating a youth course, 2 plastic one purple one red from a Eucharistic Congress, and a beach style rosary bracelette. And a bunch lying around…

I was just given one recently by a friend. It is my first. However, my son and daughter-in-law had made two chotki with wooden beads for me. I used these to pray the “Jesus Prayer”. I’ve tried praying the Rosary without the beads, having the beads makes it easier. I’m still learning.

I have them everywhere. One in my pack, so I can pray the Rosary while idle at the station, another in my work jacket pocket, so I can pray for my patients on long-distance transfers. And 30 or so to give away to the CCD children, as well as a rosary or 2 in every room of my house.

My husband has a few that he inherited after his parents passed away. I am converting to the Church this Easter, so maybe I will receive my first one around that time.

I only have one, because it really becomes a part of me; a tool necessary for deep meditation.
I have three but use only two of them regularly. And it’s because of this reason exactly; they become a part of me. A rose wood one is from my grandmother who is very, very poor but made it a point to get me a rosary like hers 15+ years ago because I liked the one she had. The other is a crystal one from my mother for my wedding day last year. I carry the rose wood one with me always in my purse and the crystal one is on my nightstand. I pray regularly with both. The third is in case anyone ever wants to pray with me or for some reason I can’t use my beloved rosaries.
