Is there any falsification test in your religion? Is there anything in your religion that would prove you are wrong if I could prove to you that it exists - anything?
…Islam however does provide humankind with a chance to verify it’s authenticity and “prove it wrong” and it states in the Qur’an:
“Do they not consider the Qur’an? Had it been from any other than Allah, they would surely have found therein much discrepancy.”… (Surah An-Nisa, 4:82)
This is a clear challenge to the non-Muslim for it basically invites him to find a mistake in the Qur’an.
…There are no mistakes in it. Find one if you can!"
…And yet this is the way the Qur’an approaches people i.e. to invite them to examine and try their best to find any mistakes or discrepancies within it and hence determine for themselves the Truth of Islam.
Other quotes by hamba2han:
There is no discrepancy at all in the Qur’an regarding this as the Qur’an does not command believers to face towards Jerusalem when praying.
The fools (pagans, hypocrites, and Jews) among the people will say, “What has turned them (Muslims) from their Qiblah (prayer direction (towards Jerusalem)) to which they were used to face in prayer.” Say, (O Muhammad SAW) “To Allah belong both, east and the west. He guides whom He wills to a Straight Way.”
( سورة البقرة , Al-Baqara, Chapter #2, Verse #142)
Say (O Muhammad SAW): My Lord has commanded justice and (said) that you should face Him only (i.e. worship none but Allah and face the Qiblah, i.e. the Kabah at Makkah during prayers) in each and every place of worship, in prayers (and not to face other false deities and idols), and invoke Him only making your religion sincere to Him by not joining in worship any partner to Him and with the intention that you are doing your deeds for Allahs sake only. As He brought you (into being) in the beginning, so shall you be brought into being (on the Day of Resurrection) (in two groups, one as a blessed one (believers), and the other as a wretched one (disbelievers)).
( سورة الأعراف , Al-Araf, Chapter #7, Verse #29)
**Historical fact as well as Qur’an that Islamic prayers were first directed toward Jerusalem. **
Firstly, Allah (swt) never changes His mind for that is a sign of weakness and the Creator is not weak.
And when We change a Verse (of the Quran, i.e. cancel (abrogate) its order) in place of another, and Allah knows the best of what He sends down, they (the disbelievers) say: “You (O Muhammad SAW) are but a Muftari! (forger, liar).” Nay, but most of them know not.
( سورة النحل , An-Nahl, Chapter #16, Verse #101)
Whatever a Verse (revelation) do We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, We bring a better one or similar to it. Know you not that Allah is able to do all things?
( سورة البقرة , Al-Baqara, Chapter #2, Verse #106)
Sounds like someone changed their mind.
The whole point of this exercise is not to engage in debate just for the sake of debate but rather to sincerely seek the answer to the question of whether or not the Qur’an is truly the Word of the Creator.
If you are truly sincere about determining whether or not the Qur’an is truly the Word of the Creator you would see it is false by it’s own words. 6 years ago I studied Islam because if it was from God, I wanted to know what He said.
What has been corrupted 600 years before Muhammed?
So because of their breach of their covenant, We cursed them, and made their hearts grow hard. They change the words from their (right) places and have abandoned a good part of the Message that was sent to them. And you will not cease to discover deceit in them, except a few of them. But forgive them, and overlook (their misdeeds). Verily, Allah loves AlMuhsinoon (gooddoers - see V.2:112).
( سورة المائدة , Al-Maeda, Chapter #5, Verse #13)
Why in the world would God say this?
Say (O Muhammad SAW): "It has been revealed to me that a group (from three to ten in number) of jinns listened (to this Quran). They said: Verily! We have heard a wonderful Recital (this Quran)!
( سورة الجن , Al-Jinn, Chapter #72, Verse #1)
