Yes they can, but it is rare and even then usually from an industrial accident. You still want to protect your eyes in very cold climates from things like the wind, and if there is snow and it is sunny or lightly overcast from snow blindness and sunburn. Yes sunburn, which can occur even in the cold.
 
It is 1:38 p.m. where I live, and it is 39 degrees Fahrenheit, 4 degrees Celsius. I actually just called my sister a few minutes ago, some of my family had decided to visit the Midwest. Better them than me. My sister said it is 10 degrees Fahrenheit there. That’s like -12 Celsius.
 
Caffeine has a negative effect on me, especially on my heart, so I am supposed to avoid it as much as possible with foods/drinks that contain it. 🙂
 
That’s why my mother can’t have it, because she had a thyroid storm.

I don’t have any thyroid issues, but they do run in my family.

Unexpectedly snowing. Thanks a lot weather channel. The last hour of our drive home from my daughter’s house was not fun. ❄️
 
It is currently 2f / -16c and it is going to get colder and probably snow. The humidity in the house is very low so I set out a couple of pans off water to help with that.
 
I think the high today was like 41 degrees Fahrenheit, and it’s supposed to get a lot colder.
 
Now they’re saying we’re going to get snow in a few minutes. Weird, because yesterday they said it was going to be closer to the coast.
 
33F and sunny. Tonight will be 14F. Glad I got all the ferals inside.
 
If that’s the temperature in the summer, you can see why I’m kind of frustrated with temperatures of -11 degrees Celsius. I live in the south to escape the cold! Which isn’t actually true, but still
 
Yes! I experienced -9 c a while back ,and that was terrible!
These really hot days don’t happen so often,last night was cold enough for wearing trousers and a jumper,and we’ll have a change come through maybe tomorrow and it will be back around 27c.Much better.
The worst is when you have a solid run of really hot days,the house heats up,the nights stay hot .
Then the mosquitos come and attack you 😁
 
More than snow or cold, I hate when it is really windy. Can’t stand listening to it roaring. And that’s what it’s doing tonight.
