And rightly so I’d say. Back in time, the Church was the government. But we evolved together through conflict. Today, it is against the Canon law for a clergyman to hold office.

…If it werent for direct conflict, nothing would have changed.

…But today, Catholics tend to act solely in faith, while ignoring wisdom -like a man jumping off a building having faith that he can fly. 🤷

Anyone who is suprised that it has come to this should pinch themselves now. Also, anyone who is opposed to this is merely seeing it through a more personal lens than me. My lens is the reality that physics is real in human life too. Every action really does have an equal opposite reaction. Its the way things happen. 🤷

…The Catholic Church had to go through it, Judaism did too… Now, it’s Islams turn in a highly globalized world. Belgium, Germany, France, the US… Its happening.

Come to what?

Did 58% of Catholics or Mormons in the US advocate for human rights violations back then? If not, then we shouldn’t compare apples and oranges.
This statement is purely irrelevant. Muslims that worship at the mosque in question have every right to be there. Would you approve of protesters trying to run off a Catholic parish on account of child abuse allegations?

We all have a right to worship or not worship any god of our choosing in the United States. End of story.

Nobody ran these Muslims off. It was a peaceful protest. I call it “growing pains”. We can expect more if our own Catholic hisory is any example.

I’m just sitting here watching the wheels go around. I really love to watch them roll. 😉

The problem with this comparison is ‘apples and oranges’.

The term Islamist applies to people who are Sharia Law apologists. Sharia Law is a form of government, with courts, laws and enforcement agents who put into place laws based on Islamic teachings.

There can be no such thing as a Christianist because the ideological aspects of the Christian faith have no ordered form for the implementation of Christian laws -because there are no Christian laws… We evolved alongside Democracy -therefore, we fit into society like a perfectly fitted puzzle piece.

Have you ever known a Christian who voiced an opinion that anyone who misses Church on Sunday should be put in jail or fined? Have you ever heard a Christian say that young girls who have premarital sex should be legally whipped in public by their parents? How about they must marry only Christians or get whipped? Leave Christianity get thrown in jail…? Of course not. But Islamists believe that their religious freedom depends on these types of punishments.

…58% of US Muslims cry out for the implementation of Sharia Law in their community -absolute violations of human rights in America. This is why there needs to be a word such as Islamist, and it’s why there is no need for a term such as ‘Christianist’.
Other polls(that I have listed earlier itt) show that a majority Muslims are tolerant, welcoming people. Also Christians answer to polls in similar way’s as Muslims.

As for the term Islamist, this is a term that is not found in the Quran, Sunnah, or Hadith. The majority of folks using the term Islamist to describe Muslims are not themselves Muslims. Imagine non Christians, on a daily basis… using the term Christianist or radical Christians to describe a group of criminals. Islamist in my view is not a valid term, and Jihad is something that we see from the Muslims risking their lives to fight ISIL. Jihad is not something being carried out by ISIL.

Religion or Islamic law, is merely part of the law of the land in Jordan for example, similarly Jewish law is on the books in some fashion in Israel. ISILs laws for example, go against the values of Islam. To suggest that there is a such thing as radical Islam or Islamism, is IMO akin to suggesting that the KKK was a radical part of Christianity or that the klan was based on Christian/bible values. I just cant see the Bible or Christianity condoning the KKK, so as a respect to my Muslim brothers and sister, I also think that ISIL goes against Islam, I dont think that a part of Islam condones Isil.

Also the argument that Sharia law is coming to the USA does not add up IMO, and this is something the anti Muslim crowd over at front page mag and SIOA try and push. Its ISIL that wants to take over the world, and implement their own distorted crazy laws which go against Islam. ISIL makes up less then 1/10 of 1 percent of Muslims, ISIL is opposed by the vast majority of the world.

It’s wrong to blame the world’s problem on our local Muslims. These are Americans, and like it or not, they, too, are protected by the Constitution (wow, I should get some sort of comma warning for that sentence).

I can only name a few American Muslims that are responsible for attacks within the US. I can also name a few American Christians responsible for attacks within the US.

Oh, so you don’t even acknowledge the term “Radical Islam”.

So do you consider a Muslim, who openly admits that they want Sharia Law to be applied wherever they live, a tolerant or “Moderate Muslim”?

Do you not consider the death penalty in Iran for example for blaspheming the prophet a human rights violation? What about death for converting to another faith…? No radicalism there either?

Not blaming the people. Blaming the ideology of sharia and those who are sympathetic to it.

…Can a Muslim still be considered a Muslim if they despise Sharia Law?

…Can a Muslim still be considered a Muslim if they despise Sharia Law?
That is like asking if Jews can still be considered Jewish if they despise the Beth Din. The answer to both is yes. There is as much diversity of opinion and orthodoxy in Islam as there is in any other religion.

I dont believe that one can be a moderate Christian or a moderate Muslim, rather one can be a Muslim or Christian for example.

In Catholic majority lands of the past, their were laws of which some folks may have viewed as inhumane laws. Would you also ask me about the laws on the books during the times of the Catholic King Ferdinand II or Aragon?

There are some 1.5 billion Muslims in the present world, and not all Muslim majority countries have a form of religious laws on the book. The present day Muslim majority countries that do have religious laws, or a partial form of Sharia law, implement these religious laws differently, The laws in Saudi Arabia differ from the laws in Jordan and Iran. The Jewish State of Israel also has religious laws on the book, So If I was to be critical of the religious laws in Jordan, I would also find myself being critical of the Torah related Laws in Israel, which are used in Israeli family courts…and I dont want to go down this route, I find it unnecessary.

Wrt Iran, I dont agree with all of the laws of Iran. Also notable present day Muslim leaders have suggested that its wrong for modern day humans to punish someone for leaving Islam.

I view Islam, Christianity, and Judaism as religions of peace. I have also found that Pope Francis speaks positively of Muslims, btw I dont think I have heard Pope Francis use the term Islamist to describe Muslims.

It’s a tolerance test.
“When you hunt predators, the best camouflage is weakness.” ~ Andrew Vachss

This episode can be seen in many different lights. The hope is that Christians view it in One Light.

“I refuse to join any club that would have me as a member.”~ Groucho Marx

Looks likely is the Muslims passed with flying colors. The “protestors” looked like idiots.
When considering animals….
Predators do not always select the weakest to kill.
Consider feigning death and chase/kill sequence in all this.

Then God said: Let us make human beings in our image, after our likeness. Let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the tame animals, all the wild animals, and all the creatures that crawl on the earth. Genesis 1:26

We can and do observe animal behaviors. We can learn about ourselves and others through all of God’s creation.
