Why is self-delusion of just 10 people so incomprehensible for you? Your own belief system dictates that at least 60 - 70% of the world are deluded.
Throughout history we have seen a lot of instances of delusion on mass. The delusion of just 10 people here, is nothing.
So?
To believe something is not to ‘play in the lottery’. You insult your own faith when you compare it to gambling.
This is selective filtering. Pascal’s Wager presumes just
two options:
- The Christian God exists.
- The Christian God does not exist.
There are actually, an almost infinite amount of possibilities are we to actually consider the reality. There is no reason for me, as a skeptic to just look at it through selective goggles.
When an individual makes assertions without evidence, they can be refuted with the same amount of effort. I have no interest in entertaining your prejudice.
This is
your claim not mine. You are claiming that Atheists are all selfish and you have yet not substantiated that all Atheists are. All you have done is make the assertion.
Please connect that with reality.
To do what? Be selfless? Because I care about people. It does not need to be ‘beneficial’ to me to be useful to another. If I can help others, I generally would like to think that I will.
Do not presume to know me and declare otherwise. That is condescending, judgmental and ultimately self-righteous bigotry.
Show me an example of a single Saints body and I will look it up.
It might be conclusive, you’re quite right. But I have neither the time or patience to read through a catalogue. I suspect you would not do the same for me.
That’s an oxymoron. If something is unexplained or a miracle then it cannot be scientifically verified. The moment it becomes a part of scientific knowledge, it is totally consistent with reality and therefore neither a miracle or an unexplained event.
