Gabriel of 12;6284680:
It is right. Interpretation of christian writings is the right of christian teachers. Similarly interpretation of the Muslim texts is the right of Muslim scholars. But in any case, nobody should have unlimited liberty with handling of the common words.

I do not mind any christian teaching me bible. But still I will not allow him/her to go wild with well known common words generally in use in public and in other places in bible. For instance, I have seen the use of the word “begotten” in Mathew 1, verse 1,2,3,… I would not like the Catholics to change the meaning of that word for Jesus only.

I agree. What is one way to prevent some one… First we should see when some one is using the power and authority of God without explicit reference, permission. example: God can create a man out of a Tree. But does He do it?? The answer is NO. So if some one tries to create man out of tree by saying that God is all powerful… WE will not allow it.

Another example: We know that any one who dies never comes back to this world. It is written in our book Quran. Now if some one tries to argue with us that a dead man came back to life, we would not believe that. If some one suggests that God (Allah) is all powerful and He can do it. And that person tries to bring some one back to life by the Power of God, we will not allow that. He will then be wrongly using the powers of God, as if he was the God.

I hope I have given some answer.
The only thing we get here are Planten opinion and nothing else

A gentle correction on what is necessary to be a Christian

Hi

The above does not represent views of all the non-Catholics. I love Jesus and his true teachings but I don’t believe that Jesus was ever a god who became man. Jesus had no explicit claim to it except some obscure statements narrated by others who misunderstood him. This is my sincere opinion, however, no disrespect is intended to anybody’s faith or creed.

I love Jesus and Krishna

Thanks
Saint Paul didn’t say: “If you don’t believe that the Christ Jesus is resurrected, vain is your faith”, but “If the Christ is not resurrected, vain is your faith.”
What would be the point of relying on fairy tales? If nothing is but fabricated “truth”, then we would live only in a lie, wouldn’t we?
Also, how can you tell which are Jesus’ really true teachings, or even which are Muhammad’s really true teachings, for that matter?

I only read the OP and nothing else as of yet on this thread, so if the preceding post of mine seems somehow strange, now you know why.

My quote: I do not deny the stars. There are the Catholics claiming unusual things about Jesus. They are using strange words. They are giving special meanings to words “risen” and “begotten” etc. What can we do?? At the same time they deny outright the truth of other religions. There is no comparison to the biased attitude.

That is good. You have a belief and you have a right to that belief. I do not deny it. Every one is entitled, undisturbed, to any belief. You believe in Jesus as God and son of God. That is well known to every one here.

So peace be with you too.
Are we not all accountable for what we believe and what we don’t? For what we believe in (or don’t) will certainly influence our thoughts, attitudes and actions, will they not?

Its not only you dear Planten but muslim world have underestimated the power of God and thats why its Muslim world take the law in their hands when some untowed incident takes place in their world, ie saying something to Allah, or mohammed or drawing pictures etc. That judgement and punishment belongs to God.

See what the Holy Bible says.
Numbers 12 (New International Version)

Numbers 12

Miriam and Aaron Oppose Moses

1 Miriam and Aaron began to talk against Moses because of his Cushite wife, for he had married a Cushite. 2 “Has the LORD spoken only through Moses?” they asked. “Hasn’t he also spoken through us?” And the LORD heard this.
3 (Now Moses was a very humble man, more humble than anyone else on the face of the earth.)

4 At once the LORD said to Moses, Aaron and Miriam, “Come out to the Tent of Meeting, all three of you.” So the three of them came out. 5 Then the LORD came down in a pillar of cloud; he stood at the entrance to the Tent and summoned Aaron and Miriam. When both of them stepped forward, 6 he said, "Listen to my words:
"When a prophet of the LORD is among you,
I reveal myself to him in visions,
I speak to him in dreams.

7 But this is not true of my servant Moses;
he is faithful in all my house.

8 With him I speak face to face,
clearly and not in riddles;
he sees the form of the LORD.
Why then were you not afraid
to speak against my servant Moses?"

9 The anger of the LORD burned against them, and he left them.

10 When the cloud lifted from above the Tent, there stood Miriam—leprous, [a] like snow. Aaron turned toward her and saw that she had leprosy; 11 and he said to Moses, “Please, my lord, do not hold against us the sin we have so foolishly committed. 12 Do not let her be like a stillborn infant coming from its mother’s womb with its flesh half eaten away.”
Yeah, and even Moses, the one offended, interceded for Miriam. And God answered she would remain like that for a week, so after that she would be back to normal (and maybe her view if things would change). So Miriam was not herself condemned forever. And what about Aaron?

Lapell, This post about Moses and Mirium and Aaron is not understood by me. There is no reference. Thanks anyway. Can’t we leave this thread of Paarsurrey buried???

Hi

Thanks for you response. I cannot ,however, agree with you as it logically makes God a non-entity. God is only attributive and if God melts down to a human physical form; it relinquishes all attributes in this process one by one. in my opinion.

It was Paul who invented godhead for Jesus, only for his own ulterior motives. It is Paul’s weird concept and not a concept of Jesus he believed in.

If God becomes a man; who then controls the Universe, in the intermittent period; the Universe kept smoothly working while God was missing and became man.

If the Universe could do without God for a while; then logically it could do without it always.

I love Jesus a perfect man though.
The universe never did without God. The Father was still non-carnate, as he has always been, during the time that Jesus walked the earth. Jesus was God and Human, 100% of both. The trinity is three in one. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus did say it explicitly " I and The Father are one? " If he didn’t mean God the father, than who was he talking about. He couldn’t have been one with any other human. Therefore, being one with The Father, who is God, makes Jesus God.

He wasn’t married, which is the only way for two people to become one. Besides that, he was referring to a male, which obviously precludes marriage, or oneness anyway, in a human sense. Therefore, being one with The Father, who is God, makes Jesus God.

PaarS…thank you for sharing your conviction and not being part of a planting group…

You need to look at the entire gospels…as your belief is contradicted by the words of Christ Himself…Don’t look at outside sources because they are corrupted…

You need to read the authentic gospels and they were recorded by those who attended Christ for 3.5 years.

planten, I was just adding a few remarks on wwolverine’s post on the passage, which according to her post is Numbers 12, starting at verse one… only I was continuing after verse 10.

I believe that Jesus is God’s son. And he died for our sins. His Father, (and our Father), if we believe this, raised him from the dead.

What do you mean, “leave this thread of Paarsurrey’s buried”? Why?
Paars & Planten were CAF buddies and the only 2 Ahmadi muslim members on here.

Paars account went “under review” and it’s been like that for over a year or something like that.

Planten claims that Paars is banned… could be… but the account still reads “under review”.

Perhaps he want’s thread “buried” because Paars is not here to address the posts… 🤷

planten, Why do you keep coming to a Christians board week after week with the same BS do you think you are going to make Christian believe all of your lie, find some thing else to play with we not listen to what you are selling. God bless you ,but all you have are your opinion.and that is old hat

I love Jesus a perfect man as were Buddha and Krishna perfect men.
I just saw this in one of Paarsurrey’s posts. Could he be a member of the Baha’i Faith? Buddha, Krishna, Jesus and Muhammad are among the 9 greatest men in that faith? Muslims usually don’t mention Buddha nor Krishna… (I know, though, that the founder of the Baha’i Faith were Muslims before they started it.)

One late sister of mine had converted to Baha’ism and died a Baha’i nearly 22 years ago, may she rest in peace. That’s how I learned about their 9 greats.

Maybe planten is somehow led by God to continue reading us as well as talking to us?

And do you know that effectively makes you a follower of the Anti-Christ?

1 John 2:22 Who is the Liar? It is the man who denies that Jesus is the Messiah. Such a man is the Antichrist—he denies the Father (God) and the Son (Jesus).

Lapell, IThanks. I have read Numbers chapters 11,12,13,14. Thanks for pointing them to me. We have same story in the Quran about the refusal of the Israelis to obey Moses, about refusal to enter and attack Kana’an. Please see Quran 5:20 to 25.

The same story has been described in just few words about the refusal of the children of Israel to enter Kana’an.

I wonder about Mirium. Who was that Mirium. It does not tell who was Mirium. But I will look again. Thanks for the reference.
