Heaven honestly does not make sense to me. Can I get a 90-day free trial?

You just haven’t thought about it enough ( like most of us ). Let’s just say you could live forever on this earth, in your current state of health and alertness, but that is all that is guaranteed. In other words your future health, economic, social, material, familial, ergonomic ( natural and physical surrounding) conditions (etc) night vary from very pleasant to horrifying. Would you like that?

On the other hand you might choose to live forever in a place where your body could work wonders. For example, you could move from one local ( city, state, planet, galazy, etc) instantly just by wishing to be there. You will never be sick, weak, hungry, lonely, bored, depressed again. You will never be misstreated, insulted, assaulted, demeaned, abused, made fun of again. You will be able to learn all the secrets of the universe to your fullest natural intellectual capacity ( which in many ways is infinite ) because your brain and your body will be restored to the degree of perfection God intended before all those bad genes entered the picture and because you will have legons of superior ( each one a single species and the one higher and more intellectually perfect than the lower one) to teach you.

You will have the company with the greatest most kind and gentle humans the world ever produced and they will be your bosom friends. You will be re-united with loved ones and ancestors you would like to have known but never got the chance to know. But if they didn’t make it ( because some may not make it) a special Angel will be supplied to make up for it ( but the fact is you won’t know about the loss because God will earase it from your mind in some way - there will be no sadness in heaven).

And on top of all else you will feel in your heart what it is like to be loved just for who you are and that love will never end and you will contemplate the infinite reality and intellect of that Being which is filling your heart for ever.

Would you like that?
All you have to do is make the choice. And really, there is no choice becaues the first story is just a make believe but the first is already a fact for millions perhaps billions and could be yours also. But only if you make the choice and run the race.
👍

No one has any positive knowledge about heaven. It is all speculation.
Try to recognize the following: God, the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit, and His Holy Church have positive knowledge about His heavenly kingdom. If you would like to know how it is positive knowledge, simply solve the problem: How does a person share the means to experience limitless happiness with unbreakable peace, given the person initially exists in absolute solitude?

The Solution reveals the following:
Jesus Christ: The Holy Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is God and His Church is the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church.
The actions He must do is the Nicene Creed.
The general means to experience these blessings is Jesus’ Greatest Commandment: Always freely be and spread the means to freely be perfectly patient, kind, and motivated with all the body, spirit (memory of person), thoughts, and will equally towards others and the self.
The means to experience these blessings, as well as demonstrate eternal dedication to the means, in the “earthly” world are Jesus’ Greatest Commandment in unity with the Sacraments of Catholicism.
The means to share this experience is the Story of Creation: The Holy Bible.
The detailed aspects of the Solution are the Catechisms of the Catholic Church and Doctrines of Faith.

Please know, every single belief and religious teaching, including atheistic teaching, has valuable information we can learn from, distill, and use to understand Catholic Teachings, however, Catholicism is the Fullness of Truth, which defines the solution independently of other teachings.
Anything what is that “monotonous” is horrible.
Please consider the following lines of thinking:
First:
The greatest amount of peace a person can experience is unbreakable peace.
The greatest amount of happiness a person can experience is without limit:always something greater, always having something more fun, more joyful, more entertaining, more pleasurable challenge to embrace.

Therefore, if you want your family and friends to experience greater peace and happiness in the day to come, you would want them to be able to experience limitless happiness with unbreakable peace. If you do not want them to experience the greatest happiness and peace, then the question becomes: do you want them to suffer pain, depression, and hardships?

Second:
Limitless happiness is visiting an unlimited number of places, playing an unlimited number of games, having an unlimited number of pleasurable interactions, participating in an unlimited number of activities enjoyable to you.
Unbreakable peace is being bodily and mentally content to explore the greater joys in living.

Thoughts?
Haha. 🙂 I meant by the “lakeshore”, that you could experience the water, touch it, drink it… you took it too verbatim. 🙂
Please consider the following update to my wording: “I am on the lakeshore, though I have not made it into the lake.” I understand lakeshore as the land along the edge of the sea. Therefore, I can and do touch and drink the water, but I am not fully submerged in the lake.
…Anyone can make up what they wish…
You are absolutely correct, however there exists only one purpose, which not only validates all of the teachings of a 2000 year old Church, but also requires the teachings, prayers and actions of the Church to solve! Simply solve the challenge I proposed earlier, and you, my friend, will no longer have to be in the dark!

Thank you very much for continually sharing your perspective! I am enjoying learning from you!

Actually, I used to think like you. The scenario you provide wherein everything is “right” according to our conception of “right” does not make sense. Such a reality is incoherent and impossible.

We can expect many things from God, but an impossible reality is not one God can provide.

Well then, what do you think happens when you die, none of us lives very long? 🤷

Haha! You know that I do not believe in God, so I am not interested in speculating about his “imaginary purpose” for creating…
Please consider the following question:
  1. Why are you willing to speculate on God’s Heavenly Kingdom and the method He achieves His reason for creating, but not willing regarding His purpose for creating?
