Um, sorry, but Leo XIII’s pronouncement was prior to the re-ordering of Anglican lines. And besides, my bishop was consecrated jointly with Independent Catholic lines, recognized by Rome.

I can respect that - and that is one way to interpret the scriptures. However, I believe the scriptures distinguish between those who do not believe because they have not heard the word or have been made blind - as distinguished from those who have heard the word and chosen to reject embracing Jesus as Messiah, Lord and Saviour (the gospel of John contains relevent verses in this regard).

If you are a Christian, what is the real reason for you not being a Catholic?

The answer is easy:

The RC Church is like a three ring circus; examples are Jazz Mass dancing at the so called altar. Altar girls ones future priests coming up in the ranks. Cardinals passing priest off to rape young kids like the Altar boys who lives have been destroyed by the molesters. I’ve got a audio tape of a former Priest who was removed from serving Mass because he would not serve the Mass of Pope Paul VI. Well the former Priest talk about the homosexual running ramped in the RC Church. The Priest said that when it came to light it would come down on Cardinal Law. When it did come to light Cardinal Law had to push out and moved to Vatican for a new job. Good job Catholic Church gives your giving all Christians a black eye.

Should I go on??? The RC Church has been a joke for more then 39 years with the wacky things it has been doing all this time.

I don’t know any other way to say but bring to light it problems it made for itself.

You are correct, in that; some in the Roman Catholic Church, in America and specifically, some in the “liberal” parts of America, have betrayed the rest of the Roman Catholic Church worldwide (2500 plus dioceses, 1 billion members) and betrayed God, and have given a “black-eye” to the Roman Catholic Church worldwide…I agree.

This is because, some liberals in America, viewed themselves as “Americans”, democrats and as “liberals” before and above, the Catholic Church. American liberalism and liberal views towards homosexuality, for example, crept into the most liberal dioceses and liberal seminaries in America. The American expression goes, “God and Country”, in that order. Some have put their own beliefs before Christian truths and before God.

Read Pope Benedicts XVI’s comments from his recent trip to America. He used the term, “the Church in America” about twenty times.

Finally, not all of the powers of Hell, secular liberalism and modern relativism, will prevail against the Catholic Church. If this is a “test” then I have “passed the test’, because I have no doubt, when it comes to my Catholic Faith.

None, of what you have written here, affects me, what so ever. I will pray for you.

As a Roman Catholic, I am not afraid of any Christian-Catholic history, good or bad and I am not “afraid” of any Bible verse.

Not to be personally insulting, Frank…but the above critique is the most absurd argument against Catholicism I have seen to date on these forums (maybe I just haven’t been around long enough). It doesn’t deserve a serious response from any Roman Catholic.

Ask forgiveness for your arrogance and sophomoric disdain for the Roman communion and realize that you, in the above self-righteous rant, condemn yourself by your own standards. Repent and believe the Gospel.

You are incorrect and wrong, when you imply… that all of the Roman Catholic Church and all one billion Catholics. worldwide, supposedly, according to your comments here, condone or support the horrific sins and crimes of some other Catholics, We Do Not!.

I can assure you that nearly every Catholic, is just as upset as you are and your comments here are an insult to the rest of the Catholic Church and those members who are innocent.

What I worte in my last chat was a rime that was from the 15th century not from this time.

I remark I was trying to make was what do you think other are going to say about your Church in the futrue when both of us are long since dead??? Hummmm???

For what it is worth, ck, Martin Luther never uttered or wrote such a rhyme. Why must the inanity of some posters here result in attacks against Martin Luther?

Martin Luther didn’t make up the rime it was the rime of the day. Much like you see people making jokes about things that they say going on in our time.

You can’t pin Martin Luther on making up this one. Say what ever you would like about him, but you can’t pin this one on them.

Uuuh genius…it’s,“When a coin in the coffin rings a soul in Purgatory sings”. Everyone knows the story of Pope Leo X and the Martin Luther Thesis of The 99 Problems with the Vatican and Catholic Church that he nailed to the Vatican door. You are talking about a very small proportion of sexual dysfunction in the Catholic Church as opposed to the whole faith. Not to mention that this purgatory ideal was canned centuries ago.

Buddy if you do not think other religions have their share of issues you are an idiot. Look at the scandal in Utah and North Texas with the polygomy and rape and impregnation of young girls, and the sodomy of a nephew, it was all over the news and in Conde Nast Portfolio.

You have insulted every practicing Catholic here and even my Lutheran buddy here can put two and two together that you have lost your mind…and it’s not bc he’s in finance. Grow up Frank!

Actually, I just assumed that since he referenced Luther and was bashing Catholicism, that he was a Lutheran. I didn’t realize he was Orthodox. Hence, my response that Martin Luther sure wrote some nasty stuff himself. And perhaps the reason Luther gets attacked is because he deserves it, and most “Protestant” Christians are totally ignorant of the man’s issues?
 
In Utah polygomy is a normal part of the Mormon Religion and is not view as way out there.

Orthodox Christian don’t believe in polygomy.

We see one wife for one husband.

But Frank… you are way off, man. It is this kind of çrap - on both sides of the Tiber - that does no service to Christianity… and why fewer people are drawn to the Church, regardless of stripe.

Just playing Devil’s Advocate here, in all fairness, Annanias was NOT a bishop or apostle so his laying hands on Paul wouldn’t really be considered a laying on of hands for a bishopric, would it?

Just for the record, it was NOT All Saints Church but rather “Castle Church” in Wittenberg, Germany. The 95 you got right…
