i’m curious. were you born an INC or did you convert later in your life?
thanks for your concern choy! (from your recent post) but i think what was my experience has nothing related to my belief and whatsoever.

Ahm. me? i am born INC.

but can you answer my question? because im just slight curious and terrified to what i saw in the internet. About a murdered teenagers from an muslim country. I do not accused muslims to that but i think from that article i think they are the one who is responsible to that… Is muslims hate christianity? sorry if i did not know about these,🙂

Ok.🙂
about mine, my personal view in that is…

Yes. I agree to you, maybe it is a way or a tool to make childrens more closer to God or for you its jesus Christ. I already know that you will answer that kind of reason because that is the only thing or the only explanation why, lets say the writers of the teleserye come up to the concept of calling Jesus Christ as your God as Bro.

But the point is, you are believing that jesus Christ as your god made everything, right? even life, but why will you call him as like your co-level or treat him as (in tagalog KA LEVEL mo lang?). I also believe in that concept but the problem is God is higher that you so you should respect him and call him by his name not by any name given by the humans. It will be terrible if one day, another teleserye like this come to another concept and what will call to jesus Christ or God as your belief is like “Pare”, “Tol” (in tagalog), and i remember that when we are in elementary it is taught to us that those words are called “salitang balbal” or “salitang kalye” (in tagalog). which is from me and if will just analyze by others is wrong… or lets say which is NOT PROPERLY…
Wrong understanding readme, as I said to you earlier calling Him Bro, brother or even friend will not strip Him of His Divinity or Being God… why would you worry for the Catholics? We Catholics or let’s say the CBCP says nothing about it… It seems that you worry too much about us well infact the most(if i may say) Filipino Catholics sees nothing wrong about it… If I may I ask readme, Do you consider Jesus as your Brother? and a friend?

I don’t know any personally either (as far as I know. I am married to a Filipina and all of her family and associates are either Catholic or Evangelicals) but I’ve seen their preachers on TV. They seem to think their best argument for being the Church that Christ founded is the fact that their church is named “Church of Christ.” Pretty childish.

Cult is kind of a perjorative term. It implies that the leaders of the group have some kind of mind or social control over the members. I don’t believe that’s the case with InC–they are just another erroneous sect founded upon the personality of one man–an ex-Catholic priest, of all things.

They seem to exist anywhere there are sizable numbers of ex-patriate Filipinos. I’ve seen their church buildings (usually very elaborate versions of Catholic churches) in Los Angeles, San Diego, and Phoenix. They like to brag “If we build a beautiful church, the people will come.”
The congregations are almost exclusively Filipino, a lack of diversity which further belies their claim to be the True Church.
Many Iglesia ni Cristo churches in and around Houston, although they’re typically in small, tumbledown buildings, sometimes converted homes, in commercial areas. I’ve never been sure what they were.

i think you’re the one who needs enlightenment since you agree to me and yet on the last part you again said no. seek for enlightenment and pray to God… ask Him to show you the way Home… Godbless…

let’s wrap up this issue since May Bukas pa is not part of the Catechism of the Catholic church…

I have yet to ask you again to post your response here about the apostasy and tha Gates of Hades… So that we in the forum can see your interpretation of the words “and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it”… 🙂

Iglesia ni Cristo is Arian followers. They do not believe in the Holy Trinity. They are cult like religion who can not tolerate anyone not following their strict discipline, especially when giving tithes. They are the most critical people on Catholicism, and can not tolerate being criticized. They prey on catholics that are lost or never fully understood what catholicism is all about. For me, they are just lost people who were deceived by their leader.

Yup! They do not believe in the Holy Trinity.:sad_yes:

That’s why they cannot figure out how many kingdoms are there in heaven!!! :dts:
God’s kingdom OR Christ’s kingdom? Since, for them Jesus Christ is not God, His kingdom is different from that of God’s!

Peace. But Truth is more important…🙂

read_me, i think in any religion there are those who think that they should convert the world to their religion by force. sad that some people are misguided that way

the INC her in British Columbia are much better built, similar to the ones in the Philippines but a lot smaller. there’s at least two i know of although one of them i’m quite curious to its location as it is not an easily accessible location nor it is known to be where most Filipinos are. although the other one is in Surrey, BC where a lot of Filipinos live here in the Lower Mainland

they’re like Mormons to put it simply. their churches are made of similar design, they don’t believe in the trinity and they are a restorationist group, believing that the Church was apostatized after the death of the original apostles and that their founder was God’s last messenger as depicted in the Revelation. curious how they use text that came from a Church they claim was the work of the devil. any text in the New Testament that pertains to Jesus being God is either deemed an inaccurate translation, a misread on the statement (God and Savior always refers to two different people, not one, like Tom and Jerry) or that the concept was only introduced by the misguided people after the Apostasy. funny is that when they’re using the bible to justify that their founder is God’s messenger, all the text suddenly becomes accurate and true.

is that a fundamentalist site? Sorry i dont know. 🙂

But i guess their examination is correct. I watch different programs of Iglesia ni Kristo and i agree on the point of the examiner on that site…

It is difficult to argue to members of INC especially most of the members are converts from Catholic Church and you don’t have a evidence to show that their teaching is wrong. . They had experienced the traditions of catholic church and their mind was polluted by these modern day arianism. Unluckily they knew the traditions but not the Traditions and the whole of the Cathechism.
:crying: Sad to say that Iglesia ni Cristo members are brain washed that the Catholic Church and other protestant churches are evil. Thy are a cult and fraternity. Karl Keating can attest on what kind of attitudes they have. Any body can search on these sight the debate between Keating and an INC minister. The most effective way to attract them back to the church is through living as good examples and slightly telling the mistakes of their church. But they were carefully instructed to avoid arguments and debates because discussions will be left to the ministers. They were not even be allowed to read the Bible by themselves. It should be read only during worship by a minister. I’m not sure if it is true but I met two persons saying that the INC have Hit Squads to retaliate to persons who mistreated an INC member. The Redemptorist Fathers in the Philippines had already did a research about Felix Manalo’s claims and found many lies and manipulation of doctrines.

The INC can’t use a single Bible to defend their doctrines. They rely on so many translations that some translations that they use as of today was not even heard of during their founders time. Poor members are misinformed. But many members are happy because of material rewards. They always have jobs because of strong relationship of the INC hiearchy to politicians and businessmen. Politicians cling to them like leeches because INC vote as a block during elections.🤷

how do you convince them, they all believe Manalo is an angel

that block voting thing is a myth, and the politician are suckers. no one know exactly how many INC members are out there. they inflate their membership but the truth is, they may be able to deliver 1 million votes nationwide. granting there’s about 25-30 million voters in a national election, i don’t know who that could sway an election. but i guess with the elections up in the air this coming year, they might have more clout than ever. this may be the closest elections yet, so that 1 million votes may be very important.

of course, INC will claim that they can deliver 5 million or more. which is of course a lie

Let’s help those people who belong to Iglesia ni Cristo that they might realise what their Church really thaught.

Send this to their e mail.

Let’s not criticise them but rather help them to come back to the TRUE Church of Christ, the Church who existed since the first century, THE HOLY CATHOLIC AND APOSTOLIC CHURCH.
This is one more cult we must pray for with the Christadelphian

how do you convince them, they all believe Manalo is an angel
Manalo’s Claim to be an angel after he studied with protestantats in the USA. It was a devised he used to prevent the split of some INC members. When he started preaching in 1913-1914 there was no doctrine that he’s an angel. A priest even wrote in a book that his real name was Felix Ysagun. Manalo was his middle name. The only reason they can think of for the name change is he wanted his name to have meaning same as Peter and Abraham. Felix Ysagun in Spanish is “Happy ?_____?” while Felix Manalo will become " Happy Victory". INC members believed that Felix is the last messenger to the ends of the earth, he died… his son took over and died recently… I don’t know who will be the last to claim that he is the last messenger from the INC???

They are not cult. It is a religion. an arianism.

They exist all over the world. USA is their 2nd country with the largest member.
They are not an arianism. Just because most of the members are indeed filipinos does not mean they are trying to exclude other ethnicities from the church. The church began in the PI. Naturally, it would be that filipinos would be the largest group in the church. I feel like it’s hard for people of other races to enter into a church where one race is predominent.People automatically feel turned off when they see that they are different in a group. This doesn’t make them an arianism.

And they do exist all over the world. not only in the PI and USA but all over and they are continuing to grow.

Just to correct–Felix Manalo, the INC’s founder, never was a Catholic priest as far as I know. But they are a cult, as they view Felix Manalo to be the true “savior”, and see Jesus as not the Emmanuel, but merely a human (their teachings in fact deny any passages pertaining to Christ as divine).
The INC do not believe that Felix is their “savior” as you say. They believe he was a messenger from God to establish their Church in these last days. Also, they do not belittle Christ in any way. They truly believe that he is their savior, just not their God. He is the Son of God and they believe that the Bible states this. In fact, I find it hard to understand how he would/could be God himself when it is stated so many times that he is the Son of God.

They resort to violence, physical and even murder when they feel they are losing the debate or initially friendly discussion.

Silvano
Where did you hear that they use violence? I have not encountered one INC member who has been physical during a debate.

Man, do not hide the INC true identity. They are arians so they are not Christians. Yes, they resorted to different tactics when they feel they are losing in the debates. They have resorted to violence also. All I can say to INC members is wake up! You are deceived by a mere man named Manalo. Save yourself!

The INC do not believe that Felix is their “savior” as you say. They believe he was a messenger from God to establish their Church in these last days.
Which, in effect, makes Felix Manalo a “savior”, as per INC teaching. Of course, the INC does not explicitly say this as this would make your sect even less palatable, but implicitly this is what the INC wants to project.
Also, they do not belittle Christ in any way.
Many times I read this tired line from the INC, and each time I read one post after another from INC members doing exactly that–belittling Christ in one way or the other and just as equally raising Manalo to ever-loftier heights.

INC is a copy cat of LDS

they believe that Jesus Christ is the savior, the Messiah “appointed by God”. meaning he’s only a mere human that was given a special mission to be the savior

Manalo is an angel sent by God to re-establish the apostatized Church that Jesus Christ established. they believe the Church was apostatized after the last apostle died

while they have presence all over the world, INC is composed mainly of Filipinos. most of their foreign members are those who marry Filipino members, because they do not allow their members to marry non-members. and it is difficult to convince members to abandon the religion because of the mind games their Ministers play on them (emotional blackmail being one)

they believe only their ministers can read and interpret scripture. most of their members won’t even explain what their doctrines are. if you ask, they will always direct you to their nearest temple, were you’ll be invited into a room and surrounded by their ministers and corner you to accept their doctrines

a popular tactic employed by their ministers during theological debates is shouting and ridiculing
