Are you speaking of forbiding marriage and eating certain foods?
- Marriage is not forbidden to Catholics; it is a sacrement given to us by our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus speaks of those in Matthew 19:12
"There are eunachs who were born thus from thier mother’s womb and there are eunachs who were made eunachs by men, and there are eunachs who have made them selves eunachs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He who is able to accept it, let him accept it." (NKJV)
The Catholic Church does not force people to remain celebate. Those called to the Priesthood in the Latin rite take a vow of celebacy. Those in the Eastern rites often are married before being given Holy Orders, but taking a vow of celebacy is not at all uncommon nor is it in the Eastern Ortodox Church. Those called to celebacy are ones spoken of in the above Bible verse

and one by Jimmy Akin from “This Rock” explaing this passage.

This should be a good translation. When I was in INC I was old NKJV was a good one(by other congregation members) and it is the Bible I read when God pointed me toward his true Church. Newera my friend I have no doubt you wish to serve God with all your heart and I don’t doubt your love of him for a minute. Please listen to what people here have to say and please study the Bible yourself along with history of the early Church it will certainly lead you away from INC and eventually to the true Church. Many of verses INC used to attack other churches I soon saw applied to the INC itself such as personal intreptations. Felix Manalo made up the doctrines of the Last Messenger, it was never spoken of before.
