Yet when election time comes, he said that the block voting is practiced to obey God’s commandment of unity, and most surprisingly, to PROTECT THEIR INTERESTS. they always say that block voting is all part about being One Body, One Church. i just wonder why the last 2 elections they sided with the most corrupt leaders in Philippine history (after Marcos of course). that is already an obvious point that it is nothing but a political maneuvre. the unwitting members submit themselves to the whims of their leader believing it is for the common good and unquestioning the motives behind it. its sad and scary for our brothers and sisters in the INC

INC are being used by politicians but in return they got a good favor when their candidate (usually a nominal Catholic) wins. So they got most of their political strength from a Catholic leader.

I think the title of this discussion is WRONG. it mus be, IGLESIA NI CRISTO members helped them… haha right. woaah. there is so many myths, accusations, opinions and other destructive comments about the INC. Why? because the INC are INCREASING of numbers because god helping us. and how about the catholics? we all know that they are decreasing in number, why? it is because their members had been joining another religions that they discover the wrongness of the doctrines in their church^_^

The INC is not even 2% of the Catholics. Filipinos that converted to INC or any Protestant denominations doesn’t know there faith. More people are converting to Catholic than joining other religion.
If only the INC ministers will not discourage there members to read the bible, maybe half of them will go back to the Church. Like the INC couple that I met in Rome, (OFW) they converted to Catholic because they found out that this is the church that was started by Jesus Christ himself, and how the INC ministers lied to them.

My cousin in San Diego converted to the Church after visiting Rome and Jerusalem. He can’t reconcile the teaching of INC with what he and his family witnessed. He found all these historical places all pointing to the historicity of the Catholic Church.

i must concede that in the Philippines the INC is gaining ranks. this is because a lot of Filipinos who would consider themselves Catholic aren’t really practicing their faith. a lot of them just show up in Church during Sunday and mostly not to offend their parents or it was just a force of habit as they were brought up by their parents. or it was just a pressure from a mostly Catholic society (Filipinos easily succumb to peer pressure, sometimes they feel pressure even then its not actually there because of “hiya” (shame))

now when these “Sunday Catholics” meet someone and eventually marry someone who’s from the INC, they see its not a big deal to switch religions for the person they fell in love with. i’ve already had a couple of friends who converted to INC because of the girl they fell in love with, not because INC has anything better to offer. and of course if they don’t switch, they don’t get the girl

but yes, Catholicism is growing elsewhere in the world. South America, Africa, even in India. in America, Catholicism is still growing but mostly due to immigrants from Latin America and even the Philippines.

i must concede that in the Philippines the INC is gaining ranks. this is because a lot of Filipinos who would consider themselves Catholic aren’t really practicing their faith. a lot of them just show up in Church during Sunday and mostly not to offend their parents or it was just a force of habit as they were brought up by their parents. or it was just a pressure from a mostly Catholic society (Filipinos easily succumb to peer pressure, sometimes they feel pressure even then its not actually there because of “hiya” (shame))

oh yes, again and again… all about the bloc voting… thats how nonmembers react about the unity of the true church. It is but a fact that those who have negative and whatsoever comments about the bloc voting of the INC, the truth is, you cannot find the true UNITY in their church. especially catholics? do they have UNITY??? when? where? how??? or the fact that even their priests fight for their different beliefs and philosophy, right? Thats when the rome missions people in the past time, by colonization i think. even in the philippines, the spaniards brought christianity to it, and in the past time even forced filipinos to be a catholic. and i you must remember choy also that there is a commandment in the bible that NONBELIEVERS must not joined or be married with the heirs of christ, or the members of christ’s church! and the fact that,(i dont know if it is the catholic church) that gave marry to same sex or the same sex marriage that contradicts gods commandments!

by your logic, there should be 4 billion Jews in the world because the Jewish faith has been around at least 6000 years (or from the time of Abraham). but there aren’t. so saying there’s only 1 million INC members because its been around 95 years is entirely wrong
