Who said it did?

But you make it sound as if people here illegally are innocent.
Crimes are committed by a number of unsavory folks. While I certainly want to curb all crime, why should Americans be exposed to crimes from people who should not even be here?
The issue I think that folks are having is that woman are crossing the borders illegally and giving birth on USA soil for the sole purpose of having a child be an American citizen (byu virtue of birth)…and then you can not get rid of the illegal immigrant parents (who are breaking the law) because they have an Americna Child to take care of…does that make sense?

I think we can all agree that our borders (ALL OF THEM) are too lax and need to be enforced a “tad” bit more so illegal immigrants can not enter so easily!

As I read the intended topic of this thread has noting to do with women birthing children in the US. But crime committed by illegals when they arrive.

True…but the last few pages have been all about this…

If you want to reduce the crime that illegals preform in this country there is only 1 solution…
TIGHTEN ALL THE BOARDERS/PORTS AND ANY OTHER ENTRY POINT!

So it’s okay to be exposed to crimes by people because they are here legally?

BTW, most of the “illegal” have all the necessary qualifications for “legal” status had we applied our law equitably. They should have been allowed in “legally”.

Did you read my post?
I mentioned that I wanted to curb all crime. Though I am offended that someone comes here illegally and decides to be malicious.

Really? Then why didn’t they apply legally?
That’s like the thief telling the judge that he really meant to buy that widget he stole.

Ermm - no? And what does that have to do with the price of eggs in China?

Not that it’s germane, but did they apply? Were they turned down? Did they come anyway? Or did the vast majority simply decide to emigrate?

I think you are confusing the issue. No one said that simply because you are an illegal, you are guilty of homicide. There are many illegals here living peaceful lives - though illegally. Please - where ever did you get that?
Because you want to use homicides as an excuse to attack all “illegals” whether or not we unfairly denied them legal access.
The issue is the very thought that someone can gain access into our country by illegal means and have an opportunity to commit a crime. How dare they!
Unfortunately EVERYBODY that is here has that opportunity!
Legal status does not cause violent crimes. And, since we unfairly denied legal entry to most, we should not subject them to further unfair treatment.

Agreed.

Agreed

Make your case

Agreed. Immediate deportation is not unfair.

See? we’re making progress.

Because we would not permit it. Not because they couldn’t or didn’t qualify and not because we didn’t need them and really want them. We decided that JUST BECAUSE contrary to our best interests with no justifiable reason. Or, maybe you know why?

Prove it.

Why, I’d be tempted to believe that this may be an uncharitable insinuation. I believe the ball is in your court. Make the case.

That’s where you are wrong. I don’t limit it to homicides. I include all crime. 😃 Why do we need an excuse to remove people that are here illegally. You pity those here illegally. Your prerogative. Not mine though. If we denied them legal passage, and they are here anyway - then guess what??? They are illegal
!

Legal status does not cause violent crimes. And, since we unfairly denied legal entry to most, we should not subject them to further unfair treatment.

Enough already with saying that legal status does not cause crime. We all know that and no one is arguing that except you. (And you are beating a dead horse). If there were no illegals here, then the percentage of crime cause by them would be 0%.

WE? Who is WE? And what data do you have that supports this?

Hello,

I would like to offer a positive spin on this discussion. The truth is immigrants come to this country for many reasons. Most of them searching for a better life for themselves and their families.

With that said I would like to point out that this country was founded by immigrants and continues to evolve from the ones that colonized it up to the ones that are crossing the borders today.

We should be thankfull that there so many people wanting to be part of this country and that God did and continues to bless America!

Thank you.

Luiz

PS- Seek The Truth! 👍

Welcome to the forum.

The real spin is this - that the number of illegals has grossly increased. The topic is crime as it related to illegals.

We are not in dispute about immigration and the obvious impact it had on building our country.

Everyone is welcome - though they must come here under the rules set forth.

Hello!

I would not like for anyone to think that I don’t appreciate the contributions of the immigrants within our borders, or that I don’t appreciate the desire of those who seek a better life to come here.

I do advocate for a sane immigration policy, and part of that is the recognition that somehow or another we have to get a handle on the people who are already here and come up with a solution for the problem of porous borders.

Peace!

Don
