Glad hubby can have a laugh:thumbsup: I am always ready to help out…
might take you up on that offer:thumbsup: 😉
Too bad those countries where you have traveled don’t like us…we no doubt have bailed out their behinds a time or two…as we have most of the world.
I am sure:)
But, I must correct you…where have I shown hgostility toward American CITIZENS?
may I suggest that you review some of the posts you have made on this thread…I would view them as a tad bit hostile to your fellow citizens;) …but then this is just my humble opinion
If you are referring to your American children…by virtue of ***their fathers’ ***birth, that is not the case…they are here…they are Americans and they are children.
Sorry Blyss…it is by virtue of THEIR OWN BIRTH they are citizens
I bet your hubby is glad you are telling evryone you tell him who to vote for;) j/k
good thing this is an annoymous forum:D

Your kids don’t bother me Karin. Should they? I would prefer they would be citizens of your country…
that is nice but they are citizens of your country…so unless they choose otherwise your stuck with them:D and it would seem from some of your posts that they do bother you for the sheer fact that they are American citizens by birth.
I am sure they will be good little citizens with all the hostility shown by their parents. Is there anything you like about the USA? just wondering…

:heart:Blyss
Oh yes I am sure that they will be good little Catholic citizens;)
Sure I love to pay my taxes…especially my really sky high property taxes…totally love the public education system…love it so much I send my kids to Catholic Schools, hotdogs-but only the kosher ones, baseball is starting to grow on me and football I just will never understand…😉 😃

you also contradicted yourself here…
My kids by there BIRTH (born on American soil) are Americans…if you like it or not:p

Also I hope that you dont hold that view with yourown family …as somewhere down the family tree somone came here to the US that was not born here …hence they where an IMMIGRANT:)
This is the one thing that makes me angry. All of you who sit there saying “well if they don’t have American parents than they shouldn’t be called Americans” That is a great statment.

So all of you who are not American Indain, you all can now be deported out of this country, because you obviously don’t belong here. 🙂

Some of the statements here are so un-Christain+ looking for handouts? Well, although there are some illegels who are bad, there are alot who are good. Alot of hard works who do the work that most of us Legels would never dream of doing, for such low pay.

Yes, I think that something should be done with the huge problem we have here with citiaenship, but I think that since the first illegel immirgrants weren’t deported because of their “status” than the immirgrants now shouldn’t be either.

America is a great country with great oppurtunities why should we be so greedy as to not allow others to share what we have. God will provide for all of us.🙂

Well…when the Constitution was written …all those years ago…I doubt our founding fathers had an idea we would be over run with people with their hands out invading this country. I am sure if they had any inkling that we would be in this mess they would have made provisions for it.

:heart:Blyss
That funny this is the same things that was said when the Iris “invaded” the country. Those darn Irsh! Man how they ruined our wonderful perfect country.

I mean its not like we legel Americans would ever dream of “invading” a country that was not ours and over running the occupants living in it with “our hands out.”

How dare anyone else ever think of such an idea. 😦

:rotfl: Did you miss American History class?

This is what appears on a plaque at the base of the Statue of Liberty:
Give me your tired, your poor,Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed, to me: I lift my lamp beside the golden door.
This country as we know it today was founded by people from other lands. We invaded land that belonged to Native Americans. America in known as the place where people come in search of a better life. Ignorance and bigotry has always been behind the fear of of immigrants “over running our country.” The Germans, Italians, Irish, Polish etc., they all faced prejudiced. Now it’s Mexicans and to a lesser extent those from India and the middle east.

Blyss maybe you can’t see it in yourself but I’ve read over your posts and there is a definite feel of superiority reflected in your tone as if you as an American are better than people that are born in other countries. This attitude is against the teachings of Christ. No one is better than anyone else in the eyes of God, poor or rich, educated or not, from the pristine suburbs of middle America or the slums of Mexico we are all the same.

Why should your children bother me Karin?🙂 They really don’t.What really IS of concern is the way their mother who is not a citizen feels about this country. That comes through loud and clear in your posts and it is a feeling that I have noticed among other foreign born people. You “like” being here and what this country has to offer…but you bad mouth it at every chance and don’t think enough of it to become a citizen and participate fully in what is going on. You don’t want to become a citizen where you would actually be able to ***do ***something and contribute…so I feel the same way i do about citizens who do not go to the polls at election time. You don’t want to take the time to vote…don’t gripe.👍

Yes, this country WAS founded by immigrants. How sads you have to go back centuries and take the poor little Native American woe is me. that was then and if this country had not been settled by those who came when they did…where do you think it would be now? I have no problem…if indeed you can read and have read my posts with those who come here LEGALLY…as my grandparents did the same thing. I have a problem with ILLEGALS…those who come here and take what this country has to offer and then do not think enough of this country to become a citizen and yet will moan and groan about it. We are a country built on laws and we have immigratyion laws and we have them for a reason. We cannot take every poor downtrodden person from everywhere in the world. Within a generation we will become a third world country ourself. Illegal immigrants are coming in without proper medical exams and are spreading disease. Should we subject our citizens to having to deal with that? When immigrants came through Ellis Island…they had to be examined for diseases. TB is on the rise…whooping cough…there is even a disease called head worms being brough in by illegals through the southern border. Is this what you want for our country? I don’t.

This doesn’t even begin to address the threat of terrorists coming through the open border.

What a bunch of  . My mother was born in Italy, my father is from Germany. My parents love this country and my dad served in the Air Force to defend it. You must live in a very small world. I know many many “foreign born” people and have not run into supposed attitude you seem to contribute to them. You know how many foreign born people my husband served with in the Navy? Oh wait but they hate this country, why on earth would they risk their life to defend it. I hate to say this because it’s such a strong statement but your attitude sounds like white supremacist rhetoric to me.

What a bunch of:mad: OOOh how so very Christian of you…LOL…I guess I have met a hypocrite up close and personal. What I speak of is from experience or I would not have said it to begin with. Maybe it is YOU who are living in a small world. I don’t believe I made any mention of the fact that there are those who care enough about this country to serve and defend it…so get your story straight. I take offensive to being called what amounts to a *racist *and I would go no further there if I were you. Just because YOu cannot see outside of your tiny little box.

:heart:Blyss

OOOh it looks like rayne likes to come in and insult.👍

:heart:Blyss
I wasn’t trying to be insulting. I laughed out loud when I read what you wrote. Since the written word can’t reflect emotion I thought I put the laughing emoticon in there. And the question was a legitimate one.

I am glad that I could make you laugh…as it would seem to me that you do so little of it. Have a nice night:thumbsup:

Well… my parents were born here… so were thier parents.

I didn’t see one post saying that if thier parents weren’t American they couldn’t be called Americans.

I have no problem… with those who come here LEGALLY…as my grandparents did the same thing.

Fact is though, the same thing your grandparents did is the same thing these people are doing today, except the SAME thing is called “illegal” today.
I have a problem with ILLEGALS…those who come here and take what this country has to offer and then do not think enough of this country to become a citizen and yet will moan and groan about it.

I have twice asked if there is any justification to discriminate against the children of illegal aliens from a Christian or Catholic point of view. Since no evidence has been forthcoming, can we at least admit that such lack of charity is un-Christlike and unbecoming a Catholic? If not, what is the reply?

is that american children whose parents are illegals or illegal children and their parents?

I see you missed a few of Blyss’s posts then…she has stated that if the mother is not American than any children she gives birth to in this country should also not be American…regardless of what citizenship their father is or if their mother is here legally (green card holder etc.)
