Ok,…lets clarify. Active indicates putting into practice (or action) your homosexual feelings or tendencies. Oral and/or anal are not distinguishing factors or varying levels of homosexual activity. That is a “Clintonism”.

If you truly fear the loss of heaven, the dread of hell and most importantly, offending God who loves you immensly, then you will cease and desist from homosexual activity.

You seem really obsessed with being attracted to a woman (or another man), instead of focusing on chastity. Gay or straight, why must you act on sexual desires? Why is someone your age (your moniker claims you’re a teen) sexually active? You need to think seriously about these issues, I think.

Well no. He may indeed want to be a normal guy, but he has constucted a fantasy false dilemma for himself in order to justify wrongful behavior. Namely, that unless he can somehow like girls, it’s ok to engage in homosexual acts. No one with even a bit of respect for the truth can let that slide.

Its only a false dilemma if homosexuality was encoded by God into his genes. So nothing he (or anybody short of God himself) could do would ever change his sexual orientation.

Not at all. His justification simply doesn’t work. Homosexual acts are objectively wrong. Genes, animal instinct or whatever may have explanatory power, but no justfying power whatsoever.

I’m not sexually active right now(well… somewhat), most of the sexual activities I’ve been involved in were before I reconverted back in July.

Not at all. Cleptomania may make it so he is less than completely resposible for his actions, but stealing is still wrong. Same here. Basically, the defenders of homosexual acts only escape hatch is hit the subjectivist/relativist button, at which point we are not dealing with a serious mind.

And either you are or you are not sexually active, there is no somewhat sexually active;)

That may be so, but the whole structure of the OP’s reasoning is flawed. The OP asked if he was destined for hell if he continued to be an active homosexual. He framed his post, therefore, in terms of Church teaching. After being presented with numerous responses clearly articulating the Church’s position vis-à-vis homosexualaty (same sex attraction) and homosexual acts, the OP responds: well, maybe I’ll like girls someday, but for now I’m going to keep doing what I’m doing.

This response can only mean one of two things. 1] The OP has clearly misunderstood the Church’s teaching on sexuality, and assumes that sex outside of marriage–including at a young age–is OK so long as it is with the opposite sex. Thus, his solution his to keep fooling around and hope that someday he has sex with a woman so everything is OK.
  1. Or, he is in actuality not interested in what the Church teaches about sexuality, or simply rejects it. In this case, the question about homosexuality and hell is merely a smokescreen. What the OP really wants is justification to have sex with whomever he wants whenever he wants.
In either case, the real issue is not homosexuality or heterosexuality and hell, but on chastity as defined by the Church.

Now, if the OP simply rejects Church teaching on sexuality, fine. That is his free will choice, with whatever consequences (earthly and divine) it merits. But he should not cloud the issue with red herrings like “maybe someday I’ll be attracted to a woman.” Likewise, we (Catholic) cannot allow such discussions to cloud what is really at stake, which in turn obscures the “real” problems and “real” solutions.
